Leo M. Kollmansberger
Leo M. Kollmansberger, 90, of Mayville passed away peacefully on Friday, July 19, 2019 surrounded by loved ones.
Leo was born the son of Michael and Lillian (Sterr) Kollmansberger on March 21, 1929, in Farmersville. He was married to Elaine Schaumberg on July 15, 1950, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville. Leo was employed with Mayville Metal for nearly 50 years until his retirement.
Leo was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville.
He was also a member of the Mayville Fire Department for 25 years. Leo loved sports, especially hockey and cheering on the Brewers and Packers. He enjoyed coaching his children’s baseball teams, as well as attending all Mayville sporting events.
Leo also really loved being on his family’s farm, caring for his goats and horses.
Leo is survived by his wife, Elaine of Mayville; his sister, Maxine Franke of Farmersville; his children, Patricia Walker of Vernon Hills, IL, Randy (Sharon) Kollmansberger of Mexico, MO, Scott (Dawn) Kollmansberger of Mayville, and Mark (fiancée Amy Anibas) Kollmansberger of Waupun; six grandchildren, Brian Walker, Jen (fiancé Doug) Walker, Sarah (Seth) Hartsell, Ashley Kollmansberger, Rachel (Cody) Westimayer, and Tonya (Junior Schultz) Kollmansberger; great-grandchildren, MaKayla Albach, Aspen and Dakota Westimayer; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Clarence, Ed, Beno, Louie, Arnie; and his granddaughter, Lisa Michelle Siebuhr.
A private memorial service will be held at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville. Inurnment will take place at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, township of Theresa. Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville is serving the family. www.koepsellfh.com.
