Caroline Rose Kaiser, age 53 of Kewaskum, Wisconsin, was called home to the Lord on August 8 at her horse farm, with family, and in her husband’s arms.
Cari was born on May 27, 1966 in Milwaukee to Ron and Louise Starck (Kosinski). She was united in marriage to Mark Kaiser on August 28, 2004.
Cari earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, where she made many treasured friendships. Cari enjoyed a career in banking as a specialist in Mortgage Underwriting.
Cari was best known for her lifelong passion for horses, cats, chickens and all animals in need. Adopting, rescuing, rehoming, saving. Always a voice for the voiceless, Cari was dedicated to Saddlebred Horse Rescues and local TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) cat rescues. Cari loved living in the country on her horse farm in the Northern Kettle Moraine, and leaves behind in the loving care of her husband Mark her beloved horses Louie and Sophie, and much loved cats Peanut, Rocky, Flash, Stormy, Haley, Cocoa Puff, Tangerine and Tipper. She so enjoyed monthly “Ladies’ Night” at the Hanrahan Stables in Boltonville with Brandi, Mary, Becky, Colleen and all her dearest friends.
Cari was known for her quick wit, telling it straight, a big smile, and an even bigger heart. Those Cari leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband and best friend, Mark; her step-son, Mathew; two sisters, Cathy Starck and Chris (Peter) Kupczyk; one brother, Nic (Lynn) Starck; in-laws, Steve and Giselle Kaiser; sister-in-law, Sandy Kaiser; relentlessly caring neighbors, Julie (Tim) Klug and Diane (Kyle) Hawthorne; dear friends, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Cari was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved Aunt Esther.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, August 21, at New Horizon of Kewaskum (9663 Highway 144 between Boltonville and Batavia) with Pastor Christine Wilke officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. with the Service beginning at 6 p.m. Food and Gathering to follow.
In lieu of flowers — with her love for animals, the family requests memorial donations to one of the following charities that Cari supported: Shawano Cares about Critters (Cat Rescue), P.O. Box 221, Shawano, WI 54166; Dreamscape Rescue Inc. (Saddlebred Horse Rescue), 957 Elm St., Eagleville, TN 37060, Grune Heidi Farm Rescue, 4713 Swindell Rd., Lakeland, FL 33810; Mis-fit Toys, Inc. (Saddlebred Horse Rescue), 800 Ritter Lane, Waddy, KY 40076; or the American Saddlebred Legacy Foundation (Saddlebred Horse Rescue), PO Box 12, Eminence, KY 40019.
Cari and her family extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at the Kraemer Cancer Center in West Bend, their oncology team, and especially the wonderful infusion nurses, for the loving and compassionate care they provided.
The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home of Kewaskum has been entrusted with Cari’s arrangements. Additional information and guest book may be found at www.myrhum-patten.com.
