Roland Richard “Rollie” Justman, 98, of Mayville, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019, at Clearview Rehab in Juneau with his family by his side.
Rollie was born on April 7, 1921, at the family home in rural Theresa to Albert and Martha (Lehman) Justman.
He was united in marriage to Beulah Owens on July 3, 1943. She preceded him in death in March of 1989.
On June 28, 1995, Rollie was united in marriage to Beatrice “Beatie” Noegel. She preceded him in death in January of 2016.
Rollie was a journeyman plumber, an inventor who could build and fix anything. He loved fishing, bowling, and was an avid Brewers and Packers fan. Rollie loved his grandchildren, his face would light up when they came to visit.
Those Rollie leaves behind to cherish his memory include his children, Annette (Frank) Lovejoy of Brandon, Lewie (Kelly Crain) Justman of Iron Ridge, Christine (Chuck) Budnick of Florence, and Dennis (Carol) Justman of Iron Ridge; his son-in-law, George Schroeder of Mayville; and seven step-children, Mary Lee (Eugene) Schellinger of Winchester, Bonnie (George) Wiedmeyer of Freemont, Linda (Ralph) Novotny of West Bend, James (Debra) Luedtke of Hartford, Debbie (Randy) DeCaluwe of Stevens Point, Diane (Roger) Becker of Horicon, and Krissy (Randy) Breber of Elkhorn. He is further survived by many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers- in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and spouses, Rollie was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Schroeder; two sisters, Ruth Fick and Recella Budahn; and four brothers, Rufus, Raymond, Russell, and Royal.
The family greeted relatives and friends at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (15 S. Walnut St. Mayville) on Wednesday Oct. 16, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
A funeral service in remembrance of Rollie will be held on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church (306 Herman St. Iron Ridge) with Rev. Larry Mose presiding. Burial will follow in St. Matthew’s Cemetery in Iron Ridge.
The family would like to thank the staff of Clearview Rehab in Juneau, the ICU and third floor staff of Aurora Hospital in Hartford for the kind care that was given to Rollie and a special thank you to Debbie Roggenbauer.
