Florence M. Plageman
Florence M. Plageman passed away peacefully on September 2, 2021, at Living Tree Estates Assisted Living in Greenville at the age of 97.
Florence was born on January 13, 1924, in the Town of Ashford to Ervin and Margaret (Heisler) Bonlender.
She married Donald H. Plageman on July 14, 1971, and spent many happy years with Don until he passed away in 2007.
Florence went to school and was certified as a beautician and operated her own shop in Theresa for many years. She often spoke of how much she loved the relationship she built with her many friends and clients. After she sold the salon, she worked as a nurses aid at Hope Nursing Home and Cedar Lake Nursing Home. She also talked about how much she cared for the residents and co-workers. After moving to Horicon,I she worked as a beautician and CNA at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau until she retired in 1986.
Florence and Don enjoyed traveling with the John Deere Retired Spitfires to Germany, Ireland, Hawaii, Canada, Alaska and throughout the USA. She loved taking bus trips and made many friends traveled to area casinos and also loved playing sheepshead.
She was a member of the Mayville Senior Center and St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville.
Florence is survived by one brother, Joseph (Louise) Bonlender; one brother-in-law, Karl Ryan; one sister-in-law, Doris Bonlender; and many special nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her birth daughter, Kay (Jim) Zimanek and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Margaret (Andy) Bonlender, Fern Ryan; brothers, Leo Bonlender, Ervin (Betty) Bonlender, Harold (Eileen) Bonlender, Robert Bonlender; a niece and several nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial for Florence was held at St Mary Catholic Church in Mayville on Tuesday, Sept. 7, with visitation at 11 a.m. and Mass at noon with Father Tom Biersack as celebrant. Florence was laid to rest immediately following the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.
Koepsell Funeral Services in Mayville handled the arrangements.
