Dawn Elaine Seibel
Dawn Elaine Seibel, age 65, was taken to the eternal glories of heaven by her loving Savior Jesus on October 16, 2021, at UW-Hospital in Madison after many years of battling a variety of autoimmune diseases.
Dawn was born July 29, 1956, in Brownsville, to John Sr. and Elaine (Jesse) Muentner. She was born again of water and the Word in Holy Baptism on October 28, 1956. Dawn was brought up in the faith at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lomira, where she declared the confirmation of her faith in Jesus in May of 1970. She declared the confirmation of her faith again on March 4, 1979, at Faith Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac.
She graduated from Lomira High School in May 1974 and from Moraine Park Technical College Cosmetology Program in July of 1975. She worked at / managed several beauty salons prior to her children being born. Then she became a full-time mom for 10 years. After that she worked as a teacher’s aide and a bank teller until her health no longer allowed her to work.
Dawn married David Seibel on June 17, 1978. God blessed their marriage with two children. She was active serving in Ladies Aid and singing in the choir at Immanuel Lutheran Church for many years. After returning to Faith Lutheran Church, she served in Ladies of Faith and sang in the choir.
In November of 2012, God blessed her with the gift of life – an organ donation – that allowed her to remain on this earth serving God and her family for almost nine more years. Dawn and her family are forever thankful for this gift from God and the donor family. During those years, God blessed her with two grandchildren. She cherished every moment she was able to spend with them.
Dawn enjoyed traveling, cooking, sewing, flower gardening, Bible Class, singing in Choir, and spending time at any lake. She dearly loved hearing the little ones sing in church with much enthusiasm the simple Gospel message. She was a wonderful Christian wife, mother, and grandmother and loved spending time with and encouraging her children and grandchildren.
Dawn is survived by her husband, David, of Campbellsport; her children, Andrew (Jackie) of Plymouth and Katherine of Madison; her siblings: John Jr. of Brownsville, Faye (Wayde) Beck of Theresa, and Dan (Lori) of Fond du Lac; her grandchildren, Anna and Leo; her brothers-in law: Gary (Amy) of Mequon and Brian (Jean) of Grafton; her three God-daughters: Lindsey, Ellen and Kasey; and cousins, nieces, and nephews.
