Darlene A. Shaudvitis


Darlene A. Shaudvitis of Fond du Lac passed away, peacefully, on July 3, 2019 at Hospice Home of Hope. Darlene was born July 6, 1934, the daughter of Harold and Doris Wrucke Johnson. She married Leonard Shaudvitis on September 27, 1952 in Marshaltown, Iowa. Leonard preceded her in death on April 19, 2001. Darlene worked mostly as a homemaker and mother. She also did daycare for friends and family. Darlene enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, gardening, fishing, snowmobiling, playing cards with her sisters and an occasional trip to the casino. Above all, Darlene enjoyed and cherished her family. She felt so blessed to have such a great family but it was the family that was so blessed to have her in their lives. Survivors include daughter Diane (Paul) Shafer of Amery and sons Rick (Jodi) Shaudvitis and Lonnie Shaudvitis, both of Fond du Lac; grandchildren Jennifer (Scott) Kreisler, Michelle (Will) Frederick, Brenda (Rob) Johnson, Sarah (Shane) Tischer and Heather (Tim) Russo, Josh (Cassie) Shaudvitis, Jamie Shaudvitis and Jesse Shaudvitis; greatgrandchildren Ashley, Austin, Lauryn, Lane, Brandon, Brianna, Hallie, Mike, Cassie, Kenzie, Myka, Logan, Jayce and Nevaeh; and great-greatgrandchild, Layla. Darlene is also survived by two sisters, Fern Krief of Campbellsport and Evelyn De-Schmidt of West Bend, one brother, George (Dorothy) Johnson of Sebring, FL and sisterin- law, Laverne Johnson of Grafton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; her parents; sisters Mildred Krief, Lois Straub, and Faye Wallenfeltz; and brothers Norman Johnson and Donald Johnson. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice Home of Hope for the loving care and support given to our mother. Cremation has taken place. Eleanor C. Kulow

Eleanor C. Kulow


Eleanor C. Kulow (nee Stoffel), 100, of Campbellsport, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 2, 2019 at Ivy Manor. She was born on December 15, 1918, in Campbellsport, the daughter of the late John and Catherine Stoffel (nee Becker) and on June 13, 1942, she married Albert “Pee Wee” Kulow. Eleanor worked at Stella Cheese, was a child care provider, and also worked at St. Joseph’s Convent as a housekeeper. She was an avid reader and loved watching the Brewers. Those Eleanor leaves behind to cherish her memory include her niece and nephews, Melvin (Genny) Stoffel, Ralph (Ruth) Stoffel, Frank (Donna) Stoffel, Kathy (Kenny) Jungers, Donny (Eileen) Stoffel, and Tony (Pam) Stoffel. She is further survived by numerous great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and a greatgreat- great nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert “Pee Wee”; her son, Roger Kulow; her brother, Frank (Tillie) Stoffel; and her sisters, Agnes (Leander) Beisbier and Marie Stoffel. Mass of Christian Burial took place on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 11 a.m., at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 320 E. Main St., Campbellsport. Rev. Mark Jones officiated and burial took place immediately following Mass at St. Matthew’s Cemetery. Eleanor’s family greeted relatives and friends at church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Matthew’s Catholic Church or St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Eleanor’s family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Ivy Manor and Heartland Hospice for all their loving care and support. James J. Galligan

James J. Galligan


James J. Galligan, 75, of Waucousta went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at his home with his beloved family gathered around him after a brief illness with pancreatic cancer.

He was born in Campbellsport on January 14, 1944, the son of Donald and Virginia (nee Long) Galligan, Sr.

On June 14, 1969, Jim was united in marriage to Kathleen A. Straub at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Campbellsport. Jim worked at Regalware in Kewaskum and West Bend for 42½ years before retiring. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and the Union and 25 Year Club at Regalware. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and in his younger years horseshoes, pool leagues and trapshooting. Jim also liked playing cards on Wednesdays with his buddies, going to casinos, and watching his grandchildren play sports. He loved his grandchildren dearly and was very proud of them.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years Kathy, three children Kevin (Antonia) Galligan and their children Martell and Rayna, Daniel Galligan and his daughters Miranda and Savannah, and Jenelle (Anton) Wiesner and their children, Landon and Laci; sisters Beverly (Bruce) Falk, Carol (Don) Butz, Betty (George) Seibel, Linda (Tom) Campagna; brothers Robert (Gayle), John, Larry (Patty), Ralph (Shirley), William (Joyce), George (Lori) and Herb (Terri); godson Christopher Straub; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Wyatt, sister Judy and brothers Donald, Jr. and Frederick.

Visitation was held Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport starting at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. Rev. Mark Jones officiated and burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Dundee.

The family extends a very sincere thanks for the love and care received from the doctors and staff at Agnesian Cancer Center, St. Agnes Hospital 5th floor, and Agnesian Hospice Hope, and Chaplain Tim. Jim’s family would like to also thank all the family and friends for their love and support during Jim’s illness.

S’more Fun, Music, And Smokey’s 75th


S’more Fun, Music, And Smokey’s 75th Join us on Saturday, June 29, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for an evening of music, celebration, and tasty treats. Take a step back in time as Brett Hall sings the music of John Denver and other campfire favorites, celebrate Smokey Bear’s 75th birthday, and/or participate in the third annual S’more Contest. These events will be held outdoors at the Mauthe Lake recreation area picnic shelter of the Kettle Moraine State Forest - Northern Unit. The recreation area is located at N1490 County Road GGG, Campbellsport (south of County Road SS near New Prospect). A Wisconsin State Park System vehicle admission sticker is required. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Ice Age Visitor Center located at N2875 Highway 67 (a half mile west of Dundee).
