Barbara A. Reinhold
Barbara Ann Reinhold, 83, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at Valley VNA Assisted Living in Neenah.
She was born in Fond du Lac on August 8, 1937, to Erwin and Helen (Coyne) Schoening. Barbara grew up in Milwaukee, graduating from Rufus King High School in 1955. She spent many years working as Assistant Librarian at both Campbellsport Public School and Sabish Junior High School in Fond du Lac. In 1989 Barbara married Daniel F. Reinhold at St. Patrick Church in Fond du Lac.
Barbara enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid reader, and loved her cats, Mandy and Samantha. Barbara was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Parish.
Barbara adored her step-children, Daniel P. (Pamela) Reinhold of Oshkosh and Margaret Reinhold of Brookfield. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Joseph Birschbach of Campbellsport.
Barbara is the cherished and beloved aunt of Angela (Stephen) Alexander, Jeffrey (Michaela) Birschbach, Susan (Andrew) Rettler, and Judy (Ryan) Baeten. She is deeply missed by her great nieces and nephews Trevor, Audrey, Lauren, Elsa, Beckett, Henley, Joseph and Olive.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Jo (Schoening) Birschbach.
Private family services will be held. Barbara will be laid to rest at Chapel of the Risen Christ – Calvary Mausoleum.

Phyllis M. Chatterton
Phyllis M. Chatterton, 93, of Fond du Lac, died on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 after a short stay at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI.
She was born on August 4, 1927 to Bernard and Mabel (Humbright) Sielaff in Omro, WI and married Russell C. Chatterton on September 3, 1949 in Omro.
Phyllis Chatterton was an independent woman, ahead of her time in many ways, and a role model and mentor for her family. She had a zest for living and embraced new adventures with gusto.
Her revolutionary attitude surfaced while in high school. She was one of a few girls to take shop class, where she learned to weld and use a wide variety of tools; no cooking and sewing classes for her. Throughout her life, she had her own workbench and delighted in small repairs and refinishing furniture.
During high school, she worked at the Omro Pharmacy’s soda fountain. It was there that she decided to become a pharmacist. She was the first in her family to go to college; and, in 1949, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison-School of Pharmacy, again one of only a handful of women graduates. She worked and helped put her husband, Russell, through college; he also became a pharmacist. Together they opened and successfully ran Chatterton Pharmacy in Fond du Lac, WI for many decades.
To unwind and relax, Phyllis and Russell would pack up their three kids and head to their cabin in Wild Rose, WI. Phyllis loved this piece of heaven with its birds, woods and trout stream. She loved fishing and deer hunting. For over 50 years, until she was 92, Phyllis never missed an opening weekend of trout fishing and rarely did she get skunked.
Phyllis had many interests. She enjoyed quilting, playing bridge, going to casinos, traveling and watching sports. The Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers were her favorite teams. Even in her 80s she still loved going with her son to a Badgers basketball game or to see the Brewers play.
Phyllis had a lively sense of humor, enjoyed a good laugh and loved her family deeply; she gave them many great memories. Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
She is survived by her three children James (Kim) Chatterton of Fond du Lac, Pam (Richard) Groeschl of Campbellsport, and Sue (Bob) Budjac of Wisconsin Rapids; four grandchildren Aaron (Jennifer) Dunn of Wisconsin Rapids, Jessica Budjac of Portland, OR, Kayla Chatterton (fiancé Ben McFarland) of Madison, and Jennifer Chatterton of Fond du Lac; step-grandson Anthony (Stacey) Groeschl of Eldorado; brother Carlton (Linda) Sielaff of Fox Lake. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Aiden and Avery Dunn, and great step-grandchildren Ivan, Natalie, Brianna and Weston Groeschl.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Russell.
In honor of Phyllis’ wishes private services for the immediate family will be held at a later date.

Victoria “Vickie” M. Koehn
Victoria “Vickie” M. Koehn, 95, of Lomira, formerly of Brownsville, passed away at Hope Health and Rehab on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020.
She was born on February 9, 1925, on the family farm between South Byron and Brownsville.
She was the daughter of Raymond and Julia (Rockel) Sampson.
On August 7, 1947, she married Wally Koehn at St. Paul’s in Brownsville. He was the love of her life, Wally preceded her in death on February 23, 1998.
She was employed during her life at the Brownsville Canning Company, Berger’s Ladies Apparel, and most recently at Walmart in Fond du Lac as a greeter for 14 years. She was forced to retire in 2011 due to health problems. Vickie had lived in Brownsville all her life, living on the “Koehn” family homestead for 62 years. She was very proud of her home and yard. Her holiday decorations were very important to her.
Vickie was past President of the Dodge County Homemakers and past President of Fountain City Lodge (Railroad). She was also a Mayflower Descendent. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Brownsville.
She was a very talented lady, who could sit down at her sewing machine and change any piece of fabric into a beautiful piece of clothing. She could also do plumbing, plastering, and could fix her own lawnmowers. Vickie loved her family and loved to host her many cookouts in her backyard. She also loved her Korbel Brandy.
She is survived by her children, Bonnie Emerson of Atlanta, GA, Pennae (Alvie) Wiese of LeRoy, and James (Patti) Koehn of Fond du Lac; granddaughters, Ashley Koehn and Angela (Orlando Jones) Koehn of Brooklyn, NY; step-grandchildren, Michele (Brian) Wix of Oakfield, Rochele (Brian Cramer) Wiese of Brownsville, and Matthew (Jenni) Wiese of LeRoy; step-great-grandchildren, Kyle and Kolton Serwe, Tanner and Talon Wix, Chelsy Wiese, Chase Cramer, Jaden, Brennan, and Braxton Wiese; step-great-great-grandchildren, Willow Leneve and Tayden Johnson, also twin great-grandchildren due in April. Vickie is further survived by her sister-in-law, Pat Sampson of Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; in-laws; sisters, Barbara Schwefel and Bertie Jacobs; brothers, Carlton and Cecil Sampson; step-grandson, Michael Wiese.
Per Vickie’s wishes, private visitation and funeral services will be held. Memorials in her name may be made to a charity of your choice.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Hope Assisted Living, Hope Health and Rehab, and Agnesian Hospice for the care and compassion given to Vickie of the years.

Russell H. Kerr

Russell H. Kerr, 97, of Horicon passed away on Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, at Prairie Ridge in Mayville.
Russell was born on August 21, 1922, on a 35-acre farm to Edward and Anna (Roed) Kerr near Bettendorf, IA. on the Mississippi River. He spent his childhood working the farm, where no weed was to seed, and went hunting and fishing on the irresistible river, whenever his father permitted.
Russ graduated from Davenport High School in 1940 and entered Iowa State University in 1941.
In 1942, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp and was called up later that year. After several months of training he joined a B17 bomber air crew as a ‘waist gunner’ and flew to England for combat duty assigned to the 8th Air Force. He flew 31 missions out of England over Germany and German held territory. Their plane was shot down on their 30th mission. He was awarded the air medal with three clusters, and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was discharged in 1945 but continued inactive duty in the Air Force Reserve until 1982 retiring as a Lt. Colonel.
Russ was united in marriage to Jeanette Rassmann until she passed in 1972. He was then united in marriage to Doris Bogenschneider in 1974.
Shortly after discharge from active duty in 1945, he reentered Iowa State University and earned an agriculture engineering Bachelor of Science degree in 1948. Later that year, he accepted a job with the John Deere Company in Horicon and continued to work for them until his retirement in 1980. He worked in sales, method engineering, supervision, management, and special assignments. He was very active in moving grain drills from Horicon to Des Moines, IA.
Hunting, fishing, and golf were his most loved hobbies, which he did throughout Wisconsin, Canada, the western States, and in other countries. Russ was a longtime member of the Horicon Hills Golf Course, city bowling team, and the Horicon Bridge Club. Russ was also a member of the Horicon American Legion Post #157. In the 1950’s he was the local president plus state directory of the Isaak Walton League. He worked close with Ducks Unlimited serving on the committee for 15 years and continuing on as a sponsor.
Russ is survived by his wife Doris, of Mayville. His son, Dennis Kerr of Horicon; his step sons- Steven (Luann) Bogenschneider, Dale (Tania) Bogenschneider, and Larry (Nancy) Bogenschneider.; his stepgrandchildren, Tyler (Hollie), Shana (Brandon), Krista, Andrea (Evan), Jay (Katelyn) and Corey; and his 10 step-great-grandchildren. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jeannette, and his brothers Wayne and Bob Kerr.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Koepsell Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.
Funeral services for Russ will take place on Saturday, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m. at the Koepsell Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with the Rev. Paul Hudson officiating with Military Honors conducted by the Horicon American Legion Post #157. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.

Charlene A. Feucht

Charlene A. Feucht, 81, of Hartford, passed away at her home with her family by her side on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019.
Charlene was born the daughter of Raymond and Hattie (Kalz) Geiger on July 22, 1938, in Milwaukee.
On July 19, 1958, she was united in marriage with Curtis M. Jensen in Milwaukee. Curtis passed away on May 11, 1984. Charlene was then united in marriage with John M.F. Feucht on February 11, 1989, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Slinger.
Charlene was a faithful member of St. John Catholic Church in Rubicon.
She enjoyed swimming, playing cards, and bird watching. She liked traveling, loved taking pontoon boat rides and was an avid sports fan. Charlene also loved helping John with Mighty Fine Tours.
She will be missed by her husband, John “Mighty Fine” Feucht of Hartford; her children, Denien Jensen of Texas and Cynthia (Timothy) Hill of Hartford; five step-children, Shelly (Duey) Valle of Michigan, Franny Feucht of Idaho, Patti (Scott) Wells of Brownsville, Tina (K.R.) Holden of Texas, Jeni (Dennis) Oechsner of Brownsville; her grandchildren, Jakob (Hope) Ward and their son, her great-grandson, Marshall; Robert (Alissa LaCross) Lindemann; and Amanda (Brian) Seniuk; nine step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Curtis; and onegrandson, Mitchell Lindemann in 2012.
Visitation for Charlene will be held on Thursday, Dec. 19, from 3 to 6 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Rubicon.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 6 p.m. with Father David LaPlante presiding.

Joan Malson
Joan Knickel Malson, 90, of Fond du Lac, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at her home in Fond du Lac.
She was born on December 13, 1928 in Campbellsport, the daughter of Martin and Lazetta (Schaefer) Knickel.
Joan married Robert “Louie” Malson on December 28, 1954. They were an inseparable couple and friends say they could always find them together, on their motorcycle, at races, with friends at the lake, or just hanging with family. They loved and lived life fully. Louie passed away on August 14, 1972.
Joan served most of her career as Executive Secretary to Superintendents of Schools in Fond du Lac. First, Superintendant Mr. Jerry Strupp and Interim superintendent, Mr. Elwood Bilse. And later, Superintendents Dr. William Halverson and Dr. Alan Osterndorf. Her first “boss” in 1956, was Mr. R.B. Woodworth, followed by Mr. Frank Sabish. Joan retired from the Fond du Lac School District in 1990 after 33 years of service.
Joan spent the next almost 30 years living life fully. She traveled often, and loved anything that involved new experiences. Joan was everyone’s favorite Aunt. She loved children, and found any excuse to pick them up and go to the park, hike the Kettle Moraine, go for a ride for Ice Cream, or anything a kid would like to do.
Joan always knew the best and most “fun” things to do. She loved playing and vacationing with them. She loved them all, and they knew it.
She never grew “old”. She carted her nieces and nephews around, and when they were too old to play, her “great” nieces and nephews, and in recent years, her great- great nieces and nephews. And if they were all busy, she found children and grandchildren of friends to have fun with. She was Aunt Joan to them all. She had boundless energy.
Joan had many dear friends. She kept in touch with high school friends from Campbellsport and her college friends from Lakeland College. She traveled extensively with many of them. She had many more friends from her years with the School district.
She loved family and genealogy, and regularly spoke with her cousins scattered around the country. Her great niece Kristina and Joan spent hours going over family trees and photos, and contacting relatives for more information. Joan knew it all and could remember everyone.
Joan loved being with her extended family. They spent every Sunday afternoon golfing and Sunday evening dinners together for most of their lives. Joan lost her friend and sister-in-law, Jean, just a few weeks ago, and now she was the last of her generation of the Knickels and Malsons.
Joan is survived by her nieces and nephews, (Bruce and Jean’s children) Mark Knickel (Mark’s wife Elizabeth deceased) of Fond du Lac, Steven (Barbara) Knickel of Campbellsport, Jill Wagner (Scott Koerwitz) of Fond du Lac, Nancy (Gary) Bindas of Campbellsport; her great-nieces and nephews, Kristina (Knickel) and Mike Meilahn, and their children Alayna, Aydan and Aydryan. Katrina Knickel of Campbellsport; and Michael Wagner (Jennifer Karpinsky), and Stephanie (Chad) Kraus and their children Gabriella and Lucas.
She is further survived by Louie’s nieces and nephews and their families, (Mabel and Victor Treffert’s children) Patricia, Richard, Geraldine, Thomas, William, Barbara, Kathleen; (Delphine and Ray Schmitz’s children) David (JoAnn); (Phyllis and Harold Erickson’s children) Michael and Judy (Jim) Feyen; and (Bernard “Benny” and Olga Erickson’s children) Jon (Kay) and Joey (Amy).
Several of the Malson nephews have pre-deceased Joan.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Lazetta Knickel, Louie’s parents, Peter and Mary (Schmitz) Malson, her husband, her sister, Joyce Knickel, in 1969, her brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Jean Knickel. She is also predeceased by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their spouses.
The family would like to thank Joan’s dear friends, Bob and Jane Shirek and their daughter, Annie, for their love for Joan, and the support and special care they showed for Joan and her family in Joan’s last weeks.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to nurses and staff of Agnesian Hospice of Fond du Lac. Their expert care and concern allowed Joan to remain in her home to the end. Also a special thank you to Dr. Strong of Agnesian clinic whose loving care and concern for Joan made her transition peaceful.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 29, at 5 p.m. at Church of Peace UCC, 158 S. Military Road, Fond du Lac. Rev. Jack Kraaz will officiate and inurnment will be at a later date in Union Cemetery, Campbellsport.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 29, from 3 p.m. until time of service at the Church of Peace UCC.
