Lorraine was born to George and Mary (Novohradsky) Rauch on March 11, 1928, in Milwaukee. She was baptized on March 25, 1928. Lorraine became a member of the School Sisters of St. Francis in 1946. She taught in Chicago and Milwaukee at elementary, secondary and college schools until she left the community in 1972. She was always grateful for those years of opportunity, challenges, and friendships that became the foundation of her spiritual and academic life. In 1973, she began a fifteen-year term of teaching at Waukesha County Technical College. She married Harlan Small in 1977 and grieved his death in 1986. Two years later she retired from teaching and joined her good friend, Lois Seiberlich, as a volunteer with the Little Sisters of the Poor at St. Anne’s Home for the Elderly in Milwaukee. Those next fifteen years deepened her appreciation and love for the elderly who shared their friendship with Lois and her. In 2005, Lorraine and Lois moved from Milwaukee to Horicon, where they again widened their circle of friends and neighbors. They became members of St. Mary’s Parish in Mayville, which became for them, with Father Tom Biersack and the many wonderful people of the parish, such a beautiful family community and so enriched their spiritual life. In February of 2019, Lorraine and Lois moved to Mayville. As Lorraine’s health was failing, she joined Marquardt Hospice (Watertown) at her home in April of 2019. We can’t express our gratitude to everyone involved with Lorraine (and Lois) for their love, care, support and bonding; with our special love and gratitude to Shari and Barb, whom we so treasure. In the twelve days of her dying process, Lorraine gave us the most beautiful gift: her strong desire and readiness to go to God, giving us a beautiful example of dying in peace, love, self-surrender, and trust in Jesus. She will continue praying for all of us. She leaves behind her dear brother-in-law, John Wegener; her dear step-son, Jeff (Cecile) Small and their children, Andrew and Christina; her dear nieces and nephews, Roxie, Randy, Caryn, Jeff, and their families; as well as many dear friends. She is also survived by Lois Seiberlich with whom she has shared not only a faithful friendship, but also a mutually supportive spiritual journey, rock-solid for fifty-four years. Also our dear friend Jessie. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Small; two sisters, Virginia (John) Lippold and Phyllis Wegener; and nephew, David DeSpears. Lorraine’s dear friends and family will hold a visitation at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial for Lorraine will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 6, at St. Mary’s Catholic Parish (112 S. German St. – Mayville, WI 53050) with Father Tom Biersack officiating. Strohbusch Sr., 82, of Waupun and formally of Beaver Dam, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020 at the Waupun Memorial Hospital. George was born the son of William C. and Vivian E. (Buckhus) Strohbusch on November 15, 1937, in Beaver Dam. He was a veteran of the US Navy where he served in the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Yvonne “Toby” Schmitt on July 25, 1992, at the Salem Ev. Lutheran Church in Lowell. George retired from John Deere after 30 years of employment. George was a member of Salem Ev. Lutheran Church in Lowell. He enjoyed making crafts and watching the Green Bay Packers. George loved the water whether he was fishing or on his pontoon boat. Most of all George loved his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his two children, Nona (Dan) Wondra of LeRoy and George H. “Butch” Strohbusch Jr of Texas; five grandchildren, Angie Meyer, Mandy Hurt, Todd (Amy) Hintz, Nicholas Hintz and Chelse (Brandon) Lindley; 11 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Brittany, Clay, Olivia, Haley, Adam, Natalie, Lydia, Brieanna, Luella and Teagan; two great-great-grandchildren, Case and Nautica; 10 step-children, John (Sandra) Schmitt, Bonnie (Kenneth) Guenther, Susan (Gerald) Ebert, Nancy Hussli, Roy (Christine) Schmitt, Frieda Kern, Cynthia Kadinger, Marilea (Patrick) Groves, Gina (Andrew) Oemig, and Leon (Annette) Schmitt Jr.; his dog, “Lady;” and his sister, Maureen “Cookie” (Joe Masche) Lookman of Beaver Dam. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. George was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Toby; brother, Donald; and two sisters, Beverly Bath and Janice Diels. Barbara Seiler, 69, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam. Barbara Marie (Cramer) Seiler was born October 21, 1950, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of George and Florence Cramer.  She grew up on the family farm with 13 siblings in rural Juneau. She graduated from Juneau High School in 1968. Barb truly believed in hard work, working 38 years for TAB Products in Mayville, and often working side jobs to keep her big boys fed. Even after retirement, her greatest joy was cleaning her nephew Chris’s vet clinic in Reeseville with her sister and niece. She spent her winters patiently waiting for Willow Mill Campsite to open up in spring so she could spend months with her friends and family out at her camper, especially when her granddaughters would have extended stays. Barb would literally do anything for her family, and her loyalty knew no bounds. Barb is survived by her two sons, Joshua (Megan) Maas of Horicon and Eric (Nicki) Maas of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Jillian, Evania, and Laytin Krueger; six sisters, Carol Genz of Appleton, Audrey (George) Goesch of The Villages, FL, Sharon (Bob) Haase, Karen (Dan) Banes and Susan (Charles) Kelm of Beaver Dam and Sandra (Gordon) Arneson of Juneau; two brothers, Richard (Patti) Cramer of Juneau and Alan (Jean) Cramer of Waukesha.  She is further survived by sister-in-laws, Marge Cramer of Mayville and Lois Cramer of Beaver Dam; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Barb was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Bob, Mike and Tom Cramer; two sisters, Judy Koczka and Pat Cramer; along with several in-laws, nephews and nieces. A Celebration of Life for family and friends of Barb will be scheduled at a later date. There are so many people to thank that helped Barb in her battle with cancer. Her sons would like to first thank Aunt Sharon, because without your quick thinking and bulldog intensity, we would have had two less years with mom, and we know that. Thank you to everyone who took turns with us driving her anywhere she needed to get for chemo or radiation. Simon, 84, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, at Sage Meadows Assisted Living and Memory Care in Fond du Lac. Donald was born on October 8, 1935, in Fond du Lac, the son of Donald M. and Mary (DuFrane) Simon. Following graduation from Goodrich High School in 1953, he served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserves. Donald was married to Dorothy L. McDermott and they were married for 22 years before her passing. Donald was united in marriage to Barbara (Michaels) on December 10, 1983. Donald was employed by Allis-Chalmers Tractors until they closed. He then worked for Kondex Corporation in Lomira, Nichols Bus Service, and Lomira Auto Auction. He was a member of the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post #347 in Lomira where he served many roles including commander of post. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, golfing, traveling, especially Branson, MO, where he enjoyed all kinds of music and camping. He was a historian, enjoyed country line dancing and was a member of Country Club Western Dancers. He was an avid citizens band radio operator. His call sign was KRK002 and his handle was Double D. Donald loved gathering his family and playing cards, especially sheepshead and cribbage. He had many beloved cats through his life and loved all kinds of pets. Those Donald leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Barbara; two children, Stephen Stalker and Carla (Larry) Luedtke; two grandchildren, Kalee (Mitchel) Buss and Mathew Luedtke; six siblings, Peter (Nury) Simon of Belmont, CA, Louis (Barbara) Simon of Paducha, KY, Marcia (Billy) Long of Sevierville, TN, Sharon (Rob) Sharp of Fond du Lac, Rosanne Kowal of Fond du lac, Karen (Jim) Gallagher of Menasha; sister-in-law, Maureen Simon of Whitewater; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Reabe of Hartford, 94, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020. She was born on August 7, 1925, in Williamstown to parents Arnold and Mabel (Fink) Franke. Sally was united in marriage on October 15, 1949, to Norbert Reabe at the St. Kilian Parsonage. She worked at Natural Casing Company for fifteen years and retired from Power Products. Sally enjoyed her and Norbert’s many trips up north, going fishing and playing cards. Marcella is survived by brother, Vernon (Jean) Franke of Juneau; brothers-in-law Raymond Roll of Horicon, David (Barbara) Reabe of Oshkosh; special nieces, Gale (David) Groth of Lomira, Sara Schultz of Hartford and Judy Rose of Fond du Lac; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation: Thursday, Feb. 27, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Service: Thursday, Feb. 27, at 12 p.m.  Location: Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon Dennis "Beans" Hechimovich, 62, of Horicon passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at his home surrounded by family who loved him deeply.   Dennis was born the son of George and Audrey (Drown) Hechimovich on August 10, 1957, in Beaver Dam. He married Crystal Collien on October 10, 1981, in Horicon.  He worked for the family landfill business until the business was sold in 1993.  He then co-owned and operated Premier Plastics for several years until the business was sold.  He became a partner with his brothers in land development.  The most important thing in his life was becoming a father.  He loved every moment of coaching basketball and softball.  Beans loved the outdoors.  You could always find him in the yard working on his gardening and landscaping or in the woods hunting and working on projects.  His mum garden was one of his favorite pastimes.  Most people always say ‘WHY ME?’ when they are first diagnosed with cancer, but Beans will  always be remembered by saying ‘WHY NOT ME?’.  He wanted to be the one they cured and be able to help others, but God needed him more. Beans is survived by his wife, Crystal and two children, Brennon (special friend Kim) and Brianne (special friend Will).  He is further survived by his four brothers, Tim, Mark (Heather), David ‘Hank’ (Cindy), Greg (Jane); mother-in-law, Lucille Collien; sisters-in-law, Karen (Terry) Spannbauer, Sheryl Ker; brother- in-law, Dale (Connie) Collien and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Edward Collien; brother-in-law, Dave Kern; and his beloved family pet, Belle.
