Todd Robert Oechsner
Todd Robert Oechsner, 64, of Theresa passed away on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at his home in Theresa.
Todd was born the son of Hubert and Pearl (Reklau) Oechsner on October 26, 1956, in Fond du Lac.
Todd was a 1974 graduate of Campbellsport High School.
He had been employed as a railroad conductor for the CNN Railroad.
In his spare time, Todd enjoyed collecting Minneapolis Moline Tractors and Buick cars. He loved the outdoors and loved hunting deer and grouse.
Todd is survived by his siblings, Gary Oechsner of Fond du Lac, Dean Oechsner of MN, Glen (Julie) Oechsner of Ashford, and Rita (Jim) Hunt of Kaufman, TX; his nephew, Aron (Amy) Oechsner of Mequon; his nieces, Laura (David) Weber of Beaver Dam, Nicole Oechsner of Fond du Lac, and Amy Oechsner of WI. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Ginny.
A celebration of Todd’s life was held on Saturday, Sept. 11, from 2 to 5 p.m at Rosie’s Restaurant and Bar in Lomira. The family asks that all those in attendance wear a N95 mask. Casual attire required!
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Todd’s family and a memorial bench will be established at Rocky Mountain National Park.

Richard Kornitz
Richard “Dick” Howard Kornitz passed away on September 10, 2021, at the age of 79 after a long and prosperous life. Born on March 11, 1942, in Milwaukee to the late Roland and Freida (Nienhardt) Kornitz, he married Joan (Baumhardt) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eden on February 20, 1965. Dick was a proud veteran who served his country in the U.S. Navy traveling around the world from 1959-1963. It was in the service that he learned the electrical trade, which became his lifetime vocation. He spent 30 years as a Master Electrician with the City of Milwaukee before retiring in 1997.An avid hunter, Dick’s love for the sport began at a young age from experiences with his father and their dogs. In addition to hunting in the State of Wisconsin, he enjoyed big game excursions throughout North America. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, the Eden Good Fellows Rod and Gun Club, as well as a member of the Twin Lakes Protection Association.Dick was also a passionate skier from an early age, teaching his wife, daughters, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews to enjoy the sport. He spent 42 years as a volunteer member of the National Ski Patrol, helping hundreds of injured skiers using his extensive first-aid training.We are sure he is on the first chair on the ski slopes of heaven.He is survived by his wife, Joan; daughters, Kaye (Mark) Kass and Laura Mastropolo. Further survived by grandchildren, Tyler Mastropolo, Abby Kass, Marlea Mastropolo, and Noah Friedenfels; brothersin- law, James (Karen) Baumhardt, John (Janey) Baumhardt, and Jay (Vicky) Baumhard; sister-inlaws, Jane (John) Davis and Sharon Baumhardt; and other nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sharon; his in-laws, Joe and Jean Baumhardt; and brother-in-law, Jerome Baumhardt.Visitation for Dick will be on Sunday, September 26, starting at 1 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 Co. Steven J. Philippi
Steven J. Philippi, age 54, of Kewaskum, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee with his loving family by his side. Steven was born in West Bend on November 5, 1966, son of Donald and Patricia (nee Flasch) Philippi. He graduated from West Bend High School Class of 1985. He was united in marriage to Christine Lisko on October 26, 1990, in Lake Geneva and had their vows blessed at Holy Angels on October 26, 1991.Steven was a loving husband, wonderful daddy, proud grandpa, a friend to all he met and could talk to a stranger for hours. He will be remembered for his love of farming, which he instilled into his children and who carry on the tradition today. He also passed on his passion for cars and snowmobiles to his kids. He had a love for the Brewers, Packers, Badgers and Nascar. Steven was active in the KettleMoraine Klassic Kar Klub and the Kohlsville Kruisers snowmobile club. He was very active in planning car shows and class reunions. He worked for the city of West Bend in the Sewer Utility until the time of death.Steven is survived by his wife of 30 years, Chris (nee Lisko); his 25-year-old daughter, Marissa (fiancé Dakota Trujillo); his 23-year-old son, Trayton; and the apple of his eye, one-year-old granddaughter, Lillianna. He is further survived by his parents, Donald and Patricia Philippi; sisters, Donna (John) Hupfer, Christy (Dave) Starr; brother, Brian; parents-in-law, James and Vivian Lisko; sisterin- law, Cindy (Donnie) Cridelich; and brother-in-law, Kevin (Sherry) Lisko; and other family members and friends and of course his Simba Lion.Steven was preceded in death by special uncles, Carl Melchiors and Wilmer Philippi, affectionately called Charlie, dear friend Rick Blaeske along with other family members and the many fur buddies he held dear to his heart, especially Magnum and Tucker.A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N. 8th Ave., West Bend, WI 53095) with Fr Howard Haase presiding.Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 2-4:45 p.m.The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Froedtert Hospital CVICU. Darlis Martha Kempf
Darlis Martha Kempf (nee Kudek), of Beechwood passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 8, 2021, at Gables on the Pond in Random Lake, at the young age of 84 years. Darlis was born on Sep - tember 2, 1937, in the town of Wayne to Joseph and Martha Kudek (nee Faber). She was united in marriage to Delmar “Del” Kempf on July 11, 1959, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in the town of Wayne. They started their life together, built their home in Beechwood, and raised two children, Debi (David) Hendrickson of Hingham and Wayne (Jackie) Kempf of Appleton.Throughout their married life Darlis and Del loved vacations in Eagle River and traveling. She loved baking, cooking, and working in the yard. Darlis was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott. She was famous for her potato salad and sometimes would be making enough for 150 people!Throughout her life Darlis worked for several employers, West Bend Company for 17.5 years. She then decided to retire to care for her two grandchildren, Cassie and Brandon. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.Darlis lost her husband in 2006, but she remained at home until May 2020. She then resided at Gables on the Pond in Random Lake. Darlis loved all the activities, especially Bingo. She made many friends and her favorite pastimes were puzzles, adult coloring, and search a word.Those Darlis leaves behind to cherish her memory include her children, Debi (David) Hendrickson and Wayne (Jackie) Kempf; four grandchildren, Brandon Prom, Cassie (special friend Sam) Prom, Justin (Sam) Kempf, and Tyler (Megan) Kempf; two great-grandsons, Reid and Branch Kempf; three siblings, Roger Kudek, John (Jeaneen) Kudek, and Shirley (Paul) Fellenz. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.In addition to her parents, Darlis was preceded in death by her husband, Del; and her sister-in-law, Joyce Kudek.Funeral Service was held on Monday, September 13, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott with Pastor Brian Krueger officiating.The family greeted relatives and friends on Monday at Church from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Burial was at the Church cemetery following the service.The family would like to thank the staff at Gables on the Pond for making Darlis’ 1.5 years at Gables a true joy! Helen D. Grivetz of Campbellsport passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 4, 2021.She was born on July 29, 1929, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Grivetz (nee Ursic). Helen worked at Rexnord Corporation doing statistical work. She enjoyed downhill and cross-country skiing, walking, golfing, skating, spending time outdoors and had a deep love for ice cream. Helen also enjoyed time spent by Lake Tichigan with family and friends. Helen was a devoted member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.She is survived by her nephews and niece, Richard (Cathy) Romanski, James Romanski, and Jamie Romanski; and God-daughter, Lynn Mary Smith. Thomas E. “Jess” Helmbrecht, 67, of Beaver Dam gently slipped away to a new life on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, from St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison after 12 days of hospitalization. Thomas was born the son of Dr. David and Lois (Grabow) Helmbrecht on September 8, 1953, in Beaver Dam. He was a 1972 graduate of Mayville High School, where he enjoyed competing in cross county, wrestling, track and being one of the “fellas”.Tom was employed by Mayville Die & Tool for over 30 years, retiring in 2012.Tom loved his dogs and always had a collie by his side. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, presently owning three Harleys and taking road trips all over the country, especially to Sturgis. He also enjoyed boating and life on Beaver Dam Lake.Tom is survived by his two faithful companions, Augie & Bowser; his siblings, Glen (Deb) Helmbrecht of Mayville, Christine (Mike) McDonald of Casa Grande, AZ, and Mark Helmbrecht of Lomira; his nephews, Eric Surita, Brett (Tracy) Helmbrecht and Joe (Janine) Schanen; and nieces, Renee Surita, Laurie (Derek) Rivera, Shelby (special friend Michael) Helmbrecht and Anne (special friend Ryan) Helmbrecht. Vincent Louis Longo, Jr., 71, of Mayville, passed away on Septem E ber 6, 2021, with his wife and family at his bedside.He was born in Fond du Lac, on October 20, 1949, to Vincent and Mary (Emanuele) Longo. He graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac in 1967. He married MaryBeth (Reinhardt) on September 19, 1980, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. He belonged to St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville.He was employed as an apprentice at Giddings and Lewis, followed by careers with John Deere, Seats Incorporated, Oshkosh Trucking Company, Champion, Metals USA.Vince was an adamant fan of the Indianapolis Colts, New York Yankees, Boston Celtics and Michigan Wolverines. His favorite past time was playing golf, and the best times of Vince’s life included host E ing get togethers and holidays with family. Richard A. Weiglein, 86, of Brownsville and formerly of LeRoy passed away on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lomira. Richard was born the son of Arthur and Lucy (Feucht) Weiglein on January 28, 1935, in LeRoy. On July 1, 1961, he was united in marriage with Janet M. Feucht.Richard was employed at Michels Corp for many years.He was a lifelong member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy. Lee M. Herriges
Lee M. Herriges, 86, of Campbellsport passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at his home with his family gathered around him. He was born on September 27, 1934, in the Town of Kewaskum, the son of Anthony and Ann (nee Staehler) Herriges. On November 19, 1955, Lee married Erlene M. Cooper at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1960. Lee worked at Schietzel Oil, Felker Brothers, and ended his career as a self-contractor.
