Faye Priscilla Schmidt

Faye Priscilla Schmidt


  Faye Priscilla Schmidt, 75, of Milwaukee,  passed away on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee after an extended stay.  Faye was born on February 23, 1949, to Norbert and Priscilla (nee Radloff) Lehmann. She was united in marriage with Robert Schmidt on November 2, 1968, in Hustisford.   Faye was known for her good nature, honest takes, and ability to whistle so loudly you could hear it blocks away. She was quick to laugh and always enjoyed a good time, typically surrounded by family and friends. She was a faithful spouse, loving mother, hard worker, helpful neighbor, and loyal friend. Her nicknames “Miss TV Guide” and “Bassett Lady” speak to her love of television and dogs, but she also enjoyed reading, spirited debate, good food, playing games, cheering for the Brewers and Packers, and most of all, doting on her granddaughters. Throughout her life she struggled with many health woes yet always persevered. She beat cancer multiple times, proving her stubbornness knew no limits. Her jovial nature and strong personality made her a memorable presence and, as a result, she will be missed by many.   Faye is survived by her loving sons, Jason (Ellen) of New York, NY, and Justin (Holly Wells) of Uhrichsville, OH; brother Norbert Lehmann (Jill) of Eau Claire; brother-in-law, Wayne Schmidt of Hartford; and cherished granddaughters, Amelia and Vivian. She is further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.   Faye was preceded in death by her cherished husband of 55 years, Bob; parents; parents-in-law, Paul and Elveira (nee Zirbel) Schmidt; sister, Joyce Bartelt and her husband Tom; brother, Keith; and sisters-in-law, Eileen (nee Braemer) Schmidt and Linda “Dolly” (nee Kruegar) Schmidt.  A memorial service honoring Faye’s life will be held Saturday, Nov.23, at 2:30 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union Street, Hartford, WI 53027. Family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. Wearing Faye’s favorite color yellow is encouraged.   Private committal services with invited guests will be held at Hustisford Cemetery, Hustisford.   In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Faye’s name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS.org) and/or the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).   The Shimon Funeral Home is serving the family.   Mary Elizabeth Marohl, 99, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, at Oakwood Village East in Madison. She was born on December 20, 1924, to Arnold E. Knop and Grace (Hotaling) Knop, in Fond du Lac.   Mary was deeply involved in the societal life of her home in Horicon, having participated in a local little theater and having initiated and run a ladies’ exercise program in the City Hall. She had been a member of several bridge clubs and acted as a Choir Director for several churches in the area. Mary enjoyed participating in the local historical society and attending Welsh music festivals.   Mary worked with her husband, John, in the family plumbing business, attending to office work and running a bath boutique in the storefront. She volunteered for several organizations, including Meals on Wheels, as a reading assistant in elementary school, and as an election monitor. Mary is survived by her three sons and their spouses, John (Cindy), Charles (Cathy), David (Alice); grandchildren, step-grandchildren, which includes, Christopher Marohl (Nicole) and their children, Henry and Mira; Michael Marohl (Nicole) and their children, Maverick and Stella; and Peter Marohl and Elizabeth Marohl. Other family members include Dustin and Marcia Price and step-great-grandchildren, Esther and Elisa, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.   Mary was preceded in death by her parents as well as her mother’s second husband, Simon Schaefer. Also preceding her in death were her husband, John, and her four siblings and their spouses. These included Carolyn Maastricht (Peter); Janet McCorison (Marcus); and Edward Knop (Margaret).   A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held at 11 a.m.. on Friday, Nov. 22, in the chapel at Oakwood Village East, 5565 Tancho Drive, Madison.   Jeffrey “Lumpy” Lee Guelig, 70, of Theresa, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, at the Christian Home in Waupun with his loving wife by his side.   A memorial service for Jeff/Lumpy took place on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 5 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Phil Wheelehan officiating. A visitation for Jeff was held on Wednesday, Nov. 20,  at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5 p.m.    Jeffrey was born the son of Edgar “Junior” and Marjorie (Walsh) Guelig on November 4, 1954, in Fond du Lac. He was a graduate of Lomira High School.   Jeff was united in marriage to Dawn Paulus on June 14, 1986, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Theresa.    Jeff “Lumpy” was truly one of a kind. Jeff retired from Dodge County Hwy Dept in 2011 after 32 years of service. He served and protected as part-time Dodge County Deputy and police officer for the Village of Iron Ridge and the Village of Theresa. Jeff served on the Theresa Fire Department for 52 years and was a driver for Theresa EMS for many years. He served on the Board of Trustees for the Village of Theresa.    Lumpy took many “hot laps” around town. This was his way of getting out and about in his community to talk with the people he knew. He loved to watch and attend Nascar Races and WWE Events. He enjoyed many trips to Tuckers and Gilles and loved Sun Drop. Jeff was a collector of hats, watch fobs, and other trinkets relating to construction. Lumpy loved Mopar muscle cars, especially his beloved 1974 Plymouth Roadrunner. Jeff loved vacationing with Dawn in Ixtapa, Mexico and other Caribbean locations.   Jeff will be deeply missed by his wife Dawn; his sister, Kathy Guelig; siblings-in-law, Jim (Deb) Paulus, Pam (Gene) Koll, and Jackie (Carey) Jacak; nieces and nephews, Jay Haag, Tim (Barb) Haag, Becky (Jason) Smith, Stephanie (Aaron) Cunningham, Kevin (Gretchen) Paulus, Katie (Michael) Noel, Ryan (Amber) Koll, Joshua (Sam) Jacak, Jeremy (significant other Kristin Vahl) Jacak, and Kayla (fiancé McHale Dye) Jacak; great nieces and great nephews, Joseph Haag, Tyler Haag, Mira LaCrosse, Mena LaCrosse, Connor Paulus, Trevor Paulus, Jenna Paulus, Ava Cunningham, Hazen Noel, and Mykah Noel. Marilyn Leona Keller


 Marilyn Leona Keller, 79, of Hartford, passed away at her home on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.   A Memorial Service for Marilyn will be held on Friday, Nov. 8, at 5 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville with Rev. Dr. Mark G. Cutler officiating. A visitation for Marilyn will take place on Friday, Nov. 8, from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m.    Marilyn was born on September 5, 1945, to Norbert and Florence (Ehlers) Hoepner in Neosho.   She was a graduate of Hartford High School.   On June 12, 1965, as she was always up for a challenge, Marilyn was united in marriage to Michael Keller at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville. They spent over 59 wonderful years together.   Marilyn had a very loving childhood growing up, which in return she then gave to her own children and grandchildren. She was never afraid to try anything new and she maintained curiosity about the world around her. She loved an adventure whether it could be found in the pages of a good book, in her travels to California and Alaska, panning for gold or in the daily adventure of taking care of her family. She also had a real lucky streak and had many winning days. If you went to visit her, you were always welcome, her door was always open and the cookie jar full.    She had a love for animals. She loved all her family farm animals. Especially horses. She loved nature and enjoyed being outside whenever possible.    Marilyn held many jobs and fulfilled many roles in her life including helping to run the family business, Keller’s Farm Supply. As a wife, mother and grandmother, Marilyn was a central and enduring figure to her family.    Marilyn had strong beliefs, and she fought for them. She never backed down from something she believed in. She was the number one supporter to everyone in her family. She was always encouraging and seemed to have an answer to any problem you came to her with. She was honest, caring and patient. She was the toughest five-foot woman you could ever meet. We will miss her caring heart, her love for her family and her spitfire attitude.    Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Michael; her children, Wade (Paula) Keller, David Keller, and Clay (Kristi) Keller; her grandchildren, Amber (Ryan) Krieser, Mitchell Keller, and Taylor Keller; her great-grandson, Gavin Wurst; and her siblings, Marlene Pamperin, Jack (Bev) Hoepner, and Jim (Brenda) Hoepner.    Raymond P. Collien, 87, of LeRoy, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, at SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.   A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy with the Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. A visitation was held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.    Ray was born the son of Edwin ‘Pat’ and Erna (Meyer) Collien on June 13, 1937.   He was a 1955 graduate of Mayville High School.   Ray was united in marriage to Joanne Kahlhamer on October 4, 1958, at St. Andrew in LeRoy. They recently celebrated 66 years of marriage. He had worked at Maysteel and retired from Rumar Manufacturing in 2001. Alongside his wife, they ran a tavern in ‘downtown’ LeRoy - Collien’s Country Inn and later in ‘uptown’ LeRoy - Ma’s Place.   Ray was a faithful member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, where he served his parish on the church board as well as being a past trustee. He also loved to share his God-given talent singing for many fellow church members’ funerals and weddings and played the role of St. Nick for children of the church. Ray also loved his community in LeRoy and was the past town supervisor. He also loved youth sports and was the treasurer and past coach of the LeRoy Athletic Club for over 56 years. Additionally, Ray was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing golf and membership at the Mayville Golf Course.    Ray is survived by his wife, Joanne of LeRoy; his daughters, Julie (David) Semrau of Allenton and Janel (Rob) King of Brownsville; his son, Jason (Tami) Collien of Rio; his grandchildren, Garrett Semrau, Alexus (Justin) LaMonte, Paige Semrau, Treyton Semrau, Katelyn King, and Madelyn King; his great-grandson, Liam LaMonte; his sister, Dolores Neumeyer; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.    He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Justin; siblings, Helen (Roland) Beck, Rosie (Jack) Wald, Edward (Lucille) Collien, Melvin ‘Cookie’ (Margaret) Collien, and Maxine (Leo) Weyer; brother-in-law, Lawrence Neumeyer.    Memorials in loving memory of Ray can be directed to St. Andrew Catholic Church Restoration Fund or the LeRoy Athletic Club   Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville is serving the family. www.KoepsellFH.com

   Roy F. Mellenthien, 89, of Horicon, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024, at the Christian Home in Waupun.    A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon with the Rev. Fr. Mark Brandl presiding. A visitation will be held from 9:30 until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will take place at St. Malachy Cemetery in Horicon with military honors conducted by the Horicon American Legion Post #157.   Roy was born the son of Edgar and Elizabeth (Weinberger) Mellenthien on August 9, 1935.   He was a graduate of Horicon High School.   Roy was united in marriage to Gwen Butterfield on January 16, 1965, at St. Malachy’s in Horicon.   Roy honorably served his country in the US Navy. He served 4 years on the USS Bream Killer Sub, while serving he visited Alaska, Samoa, New Zealand, Korea, Philippines, San Francisco, Hong Kong, and Japan.   Following his service, Roy tended bar in Fond du Lac at Brickles bar and then The Off and On in Dodge County, lastly at the Horicon Hotel shortly before it was torn down. He then continued working at John Deere as a supervisor for over 28 years, with his retirement on December 14, 1990.   In his spare time, Roy enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also liked trips to the casinos in northern Wisconsin.   He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon.    Roy is survived by his children, Colleen (Don) McCallum of Horicon, Brad (Lynn) Mellenthien of Richfield and Claire (Rick) Holz of Watertown; his grandchildren, Abigail, Anna and Cassidy McCallum, Rebecca Pieper, Ashley and Megan (fiance’ Matthew Marchus) Mellenthien, and Emily Haslow; his sister, Mary Ann Herd of St. Ann, MO; further survived nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.    He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gwen, in July ’24; his sister, Patsy; and brothers, Kenny and Ralph.    Memorials and Mass Intentions in memory of Roy can be directed to Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon.    Special thanks to the staff of the Christian Home in Waupun and SSM Hospice in Fond du Lac for the care and support shown to Roy and his family.    Koepsell Funeral Home in Horicon is serving the family. www.KoepsellFH.com

Barbara Dorothy (Buck) Raue

Barbara Dorothy (Buck) Raue


   Barbara Dorothy (Buck) Raue, 87, formerly of Horicon, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at St. Francis Home, Fond du Lac.   Barb was born in Lancaster, on June 22, 1937, the daughter of Elvin and Dorothy (Enloe) Buck.   She attended Lancaster schools and graduated as the valedictorian of her class in 1955. Barb attended UW-Platteville and graduated in 1958 with her teaching degree in both History and Music. She began her teaching career in Horicon, then taught briefly at Wisconsin Dells and at Neosho before returning to Horicon where she retired in 2000.   From her first piano lesson at age five, Barb was a dedicated musician. She often said how thankful she was that her parents provided her with so many opportunities in music, because it became her life’s work. Not only was she a music teacher, but she also accompanied both school and church choirs, accompanied numerous students for solo and ensemble, and played for chapel services at St. Stephen Lutheran School even after her retirement. Barb was active in the handbell choir and mixed choir and played for contemporary services at St. Stephen Lutheran Church. For over 40 years, she was the church organist at St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ in Juneau.   Barb met her husband, Adolph (Al) Raue during her first teaching assignment at Horicon. They were married on July 29, 1961, at the Congregational Church in Lancaster.   Barb was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Alumni Association of UW-Platteville, Wisconsin Historical Society, and American Legion Auxiliary Post 157.    She was also an avid sports fan including the Brewers, Bucks, and Packers. She and Al had season tickets to the Wisconsin Badger Football games their entire marriage.   Barb is survived by her daughter by marriage, Kristina (Daniel) Whalen of Le Claire, IA; Ellen Raue of Neenah; David (Amber) Raue of Beaver Dam; and Diane (Michael) Schommer of Fond du Lac. In addition to her children, Barb is further survived by her grandchildren who brought her much joy and happiness through the years, Amanda (Omar) Hunigan, Christopher (Erin) Scupham, Katherine and William Schommer, Mathew and Mitchell Raue, Piper Lehner, and five great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Nancy Buck; niece, Jennifer Randle; and nephew, Peter Buck.   In addition to her husband Al, Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin and Dorothy Buck; her in-laws, Adolph and Hilda Raue; brother, Gerald Buck; niece, Suzanne Chaffee; nephew, Greg Buck; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.   A visitation for Barbara will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Horicon. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Seehafer officiating. A luncheon will follow at the church. Nancy L. Schenning

Nancy L. Schenning


   Nancy L. Schenning, 76, of Theresa, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, at Edenbrook of Fond du Lac.   Nancy was born the daughter of Walter and Amelia (Thurow) Hainstock on March 22, 1948, in Madison.   She was united in marriage to Ken Schenning on May 30, 1970, in Madison.   Nancy graduated with a degree in education and taught elementary school in the Lomira School District for over 30 years.   She continued being active in teaching after retirement and tutored students. Over the years she volunteered her time in the community of Theresa and was an EMT for over 20 years.   Nancy was a member of St. Paul in Mayville.   In her spare time, she was fond of crafting, knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She enjoyed fishing and delighted in catching fish bigger than Ken’s, as well as cheering on Wisconsin sports teams. Nancy enjoyed reading, gardening, and observing nature. She loved spending time with her family and especially with her grandchildren.    Nancy is survived by her husband, Ken of Theresa; her children, Alyssa (Mike) Bresnyan of Neenah, Heather Schenning of Charlotte, NC, and Brett (Ginia) Schenning of South Carolina; her grandchildren, Nicole and Dylan Bresnyan and Greta Schenning; further survived by other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Paul Hainstock.   A memorial service for Nancy will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 12 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville with Pastor Tracy Maass officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 p.m. at church.    Louis Clarence Adelmeyer, (Okie), 100, of Mayville passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Mayville.   Louis was born on October 21, 1924, to Louis Sr. and Laura (Sterr) Adelmeyer in the Town of Lomira. He was one of 15 brothers and sisters. He attended school in Theresa.   Louis was united in marriage to Marcella (Sally) Ensenbach on September 11, 1948, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Theresa.   Louis was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mayville.   Louis was always a very dedicated worker in whatever he did. At a young age, he helped out on the family farm in rural Theresa. He was very mechanically inclined and went into the auto mechanic trade working at garages in Theresa and Mayville. He then moved on to work at Maysteel Corporation for 32 years, operating punch and CNC turret presses. After retirement, he drove school bus for the Mayville School District which he truly enjoyed.   Louis loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. He was always available to help them with their needs. He enjoyed playing ball and riding bikes with them. He also was seen driving the streets of Mayville with his bicycle well into his 90's.   Louis is survived by his wife of 76 years, Marcella (Sally); his daughter, Jean (Joel) Lepple of Beaver Dam; his son, Dennis (Connie) Adelmeyer of Mayville; six grandchildren, Douglas (Jessica) Adelmeyer of Horicon, Brent (Denise) Lepple of Beaver Dam, Chad (Faith) Adelmeyer of Fond du Lac, Craig (Delight) Lepple of Beaver Dam, Christine (Russ) Lindner of Fall River, and Ashley (Adam) Hansen of Cary, IL. He also has 12 great-grandchildren, Hope, Kaleb, Carter and Avery Adelmeyer, Ethan, Mackinsey, Caden and Coye Lepple, Hailey and Brinley Lindner, and Adeline and Aiden Hansen; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   Louis was preceded in death by his parents; mother- and father-in-law, Oscar and Selma Ensenbach; brothers and sisters, Alphonse (Florence) Adelmeyer, Agnes (Roman) Roggenbauer, Armond (Monica) Adelmeyer, Leander (Meta) Adelmeyer, Marion (Ervin) Wuenne, Anthony (Eleanor) Adelmeyer, Alois (Helen) Adelmeyer, Lucille (Eric) Seiler, Rose (Adelbert) Marion, Elroy Adelmeyer, Pearl (John) Gonzales, Roger (Edith) Adelmeyer, Russel (Mary Jane) Adelmeyer, and Robert (Margie) Adelmeyer; nieces, nephews and other relatives.   A Mass of Christian Burial took place on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville with the Rev.
