Marguerite (“Mugs”) E. Bachhuber, 92, passed away August 8, 2022 at Woodside Lutheran Home, 1060 Pilgrim Way, Green Bay.   Mugs was born on July 15, 1930, to the late Dr. George and Vera Theiler in Tomahawk.   Mugs graduated from Tomahawk High School as salutatorian and attended Mount Mary College for two years. She was voted class president in her sophomore year. During the summer, she met a dashing young Raymond A. Bachhuber. She transferred to the University of Wisconsin, where Ray was attending law school.   On June 30, 1951, they married at St. Mary’s Church in Tomahawk. They made their home in Mayville, until 1982 when they moved to their beloved cottage on Crystal Lake just north of Tomahawk.   Mugs and Ray celebrated the arrivals of eight children (in ten years) all of whom survive her: Dr. Raymond G. Bachhuber (Barbara), Andrew J. Bachhuber (Susan Heighway), Bruce R. Bachhuber (Bette), Jane E. Benson (Jeff); Ted J. Bachhuber (Becky), Daniel P. Bachhuber, Mary E. Bachhuber, and Dr. Brian G. Bachhuber (Tracy).    Mugs was blessed with an older brother, Dr. George (Toby) Theiler, who preceded her in death. She leaves behind a younger sister, who was also her best friend, Jane E. Klawitter of Mayville.   Mugs was beautiful inside and out. She had a bright smile, was happy to see you and always had a kind thing to say. She loved to sing and encouraged all of her children to participate. She was a Cub Scout den mother for fourteen years and was recognized for her long commitment by the Badger Council Boy Scouts of America. She was a recipient of Mayville’s very first Citizen of the Year award. She attended hundreds of football games, wrestling matches, track meets, plays, choral performances, band concerts and everything else the children were involved in - always supporting them in anyway she could. Mugs was active in local politics and helped Ray win two mayoral campaigns in Mayville.    Sprinkled over the years of her busy life, Mugs enjoyed trips to Germany, Switzerland, Jamaica, Mexico, Alaska, and many other places.    In her later years, Mugs loved spending the winter months in Alamo, Texas, where she was actively involved in organizing the weekly songfests. She and Ray greatly enjoyed venturing into Mexico to search for interesting crafts.    Health issues led Mugs to accompany Ray to assisted living at Woodside Lutheran Home in Green Bay where, after 59 years of marriage, he passed in 2010. Mugs continued to reside at Woodside until she passed. She loved helping with the singalong events during happy hour. She was a rabid fan of the Green Bay Packers and ran the Packer pool at Woodside for many years. No one failed to notice her unit door which was adorned with every item of Packers memorabilia one could find. In 2017 Mugs reached the pinnacle of Packers fandom when she was elected to the Green Bay Packer Fan Hall of Fame (40,000 votes were cast in total)!   In addition to her husband, parents and brother, Mugs was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Lawrence Klawitter; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Philip (“Bub”) and Violet Bachhuber, Rosemary and Jerome Fox, Ted and Grace Bachhuber, Louise and Les Lane, Carl (“Chub”) Bachhuber; and one grandchild, Paula Ruth Bachhuber.   In addition to her children and her sister, Mugs is survived by 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.   A Celebration of Life will take place at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay, on Saturday, Aug. 27, with a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. and a service to follow.    Randee Susann Hudson, 70, passed away on August 16, 2022, in Mayville, after a glioblastoma diagnosis earlier this year.    She was born August 19, 1951, to Roland and Isabelle [nee Hedman] Stapf of Pierre, SD. In 1957, widow Isabelle (daughters: Randee and Sheryl) married widower William Elliott (sons: Bill Jr., Burt and Bernie). The family later moved to the Elliott farm near Barnard, SD.   Randee earned teaching and library degrees from Northern State College (SD) and Western Michigan University.   She married her high school sweetheart, Jeffrey Hudson, at Plymouth Congregational Church in Aberdeen, SD in 1973. They had two daughters, were married nearly forty years, and resided in Libertyville, IL; Weston, CT; and Antioch, IL.   Randee worked passionately throughout her forty year career in public and school libraries including Tomlinson (Fairfield, CT) and Millburn (Wadsworth, IL). She retired to Ft. Myers, FL in 2013 and enjoyed traveling with her family.    Randee is survived by daughters, Emily (Ben) Artin of Wisconsin and Amanda (Chris) Cintron of Oregon; six grandchildren, Abigail, Elliott, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Gabriel and Christian; sister, Sheryl Novacek of Minnesota; brother, Burt (Sherrie) Elliott of South Dakota; brother, Bernie (Brenda) Elliott of Minnesota; sister-in-law, Donna Elliott of Arizona; sister-in-law, Shelly Fiekens of South Dakota; and many other family and friends.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Hudson, and brother, Bill Elliott.Private services will be held at a later date.   As a retired children’s librarian and avid gardener, donations will go toward a granite book memorial at a favorite place that combined these loves, Bookworm Gardens (WI).   Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville is serving the family. www.KoepsellFH.com

   Rod E. Anderson, 56, of Portage, left this world on August 11, 2022, to join our Savior and other friends and family. He passed away unexpectedly at his home.    Rod was born March 10, 1966, in Chicago, IL, to Lois Jinerson and Ron Anderson.    He attended school and grew up in Oak Park, IL, graduated high school, then went on to obtain his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Triton college, River Grove IL.   He worked for the Ford Motor Company, when he met his wife Kelly M. Lyons from Horicon, WI. They married on May 1, 1993, in Horicon at Zion Lutheran Church. Both resided in Horicon together, where they resided for years.   He was a loyal and most giving stepfather to Luke Riehbrandt and Rebecca Keneally from little on. Rod and Kelly then had a daughter, Aubrey Rose Anderson, on April 22, 1995.   Upon relocating up to Wisconsin, he sought a career as a correctional officer at Fox Lake, for the State of Wisconsin. He worked his entire career there, until he recently retired last year in 2021.   In his spare time, he enjoyed painting military models on a daily basis and he was extremely talented at it. He enjoyed fishing and shooting at gun ranges. He loved the Chicago Black Hawks and revisiting Chicago for the good food. Most of all, his life revolved around music in every aspect.    Rod adored his kitty, Irwin, and daughter, Aubrey. Irwin resides now with Aubrey and Marshall.    Rod leaves behind his daughter, Aubrey Anderson, her fiancé Marshall Trudo IV; his granddaughter, Amelia Trudo IV; step-children, Rebecca Keneally, her husband Aaron, and their children, Jackson and Elijah; and Lucas Riehbrandt,, wife Melissa Riehbrandt, and their children, Grace and Jonathan; sister, Karen Anderson, her friend Andy Sabatke; niece, Biance Mora; great-niece and nephew, Nali and Owen; and nephew, Ricky Mora; further survived by his kitty, Irwin; many friends, family and Kelly Anderson, ex-wife, forever friends till the end; Kelly’s brothers, Dan (Mary) Lyons of Naperville, IL, and their sons, Sean and Michael Lyons and Pat (Carol) Lyons of Hayward and their children, Maddy and Hunter Lyons.   He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lois and Ron Anderson; grandparents, Lorretta and Carl Jinerson; and ex-mother-in-law, Carrie Lyons.   Rod will be sadly missed by all that knew him. His humor and his heart of giving will never be forgotten. He was not a church goer but did believe and lived God's way.   His health was failing for years. God took him peacefully as Rod was tired.    Pa­tri­cia Mae Fausett of Hori­con and Bara­boo, WI, 96, passed away peace­fully on July 22.    Patti is the last of her fam­ily that in­cluded Al, Howard, Robert, Mer­lin, Lu­cille, Max­ine (Mickey), and Duane (Toby).   Sur­vivors in­clude her sons, Rory and Carl (Con­nie) Fausett and daugh­ter, Teresa (Peter) Parker. She will also be re­mem­bered by her seven grand­chil­dren and six great-grand­chil­dren.   Patti was raised in Chippewa Falls. She met the love of her life, Robert, in 1946 when Robert re­turned home from serv­ing as a Ma­rine in WW2. They moved to Hori­con in 1995 and lived there until Bob died in 2007. After Bob died, Patti moved to Oak Park Place in Bara­boo, where she lived until her death.    A fu­neral ser­vice for Patti is sched­uled for 11 a.m. on Oc­to­ber 15, at St. Joseph’s Church, Bara­boo. Vis­i­ta­tion will be at 10 a.m. Patti will be buried at St. Joseph Ceme­tery.

Steven Jay Coulter, 59, of Brownsville, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 5, 2022, surrounded by his loving family after a three-year battle with cancer.   Steve was born the son of Ronald and Janet (Giese) Coulter on September 5, 1962, in Fond du Lac. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Lisa Balmer, on October 5, 1996, in Hartland. Together they raised two amazing children, Samantha, and Jack.   He was raised Lutheran and remained in the Faith throughout his life.  Steve graduated from Lomira High School in 1980. Following graduation, Steve drove semi over the road anywhere from the Mississippi to the East Coast. He also drove milk truck before starting his 30-year career at Quad Graphics.    He also volunteered his time with the Theresa Ambulance Service and Fire Department for ten years.     In his free time, Steve had many interests and talents. He was very gifted in his ability to fix, maintain, and operate machinery and vehicles. He had a love for fishing with family and friends and took part in many tournaments and trips throughout the years. In Steve’s younger years, he played softball and developed many lifelong friendships. Steve loved golfing with his son, cousins, and friends. Racing was also a passion of Steve’s. He enjoyed working on race cars and was part of offroad and sprint car pit crews. A special bond was formed with his daughter attending sprint car races together. Steve enjoyed 4-wheeling up north with friends, playing sheepshead, working on the farm, and memorable family vacations to Three Lakes each summer.     Steve will be remembered by his distinct voice, quick wit, sense of humor, good story telling, ability to make friends easily, honesty, devotion to family, strong personality, and his ability to enjoy life.    Steve is survived by his wife, Lisa; daughter, Samantha; son, Jack; and his little buddy, Scooter; Siblings: Ed (Diane) Coulter, Dennis (Laurie) Coulter, Gary (Chris) Coulter, Sandy (Mark) Herman, Sharee (Jim) Fritz; mother-in-law, Harriet Balmer; sisters-in-law, Beth (Greg) Udelhoven, Linda Balmer; and brother-in-law, Daniel (Vicky) Balmer. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.    Steve is preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, David P.    Dale Earl Hodgson, 69, of Horicon, passed away on August 2, 2022, in the comfort of his own home under the care of his wife, Diane and son, Andrew.      He was born on November 2, 1952, in Hustisford.    On September 14, 1974, Dale married Diane Beske in Horicon.   Dale worked at Maysteel for 40+ years, following at Steel Craft and ending his employment days at Rumar. He retired in May of 2020 at the age of 67.    Throughout Dale's years, he participated in the board at St. Stephen's serving as treasurer of the daycare. Dale enjoyed his times being members of the bowling league, golf league and most recently dartball league. Dale also enjoyed participation in the NRA.    Dale spent his time devoting himself to his family and community. He took pride in being a Papa and lived out this role to the fullest. He would be found at any and all events involving his children and grandchildren. Although he was only one man, his love spread amongst them all and he never missed a moment. Yearly he would partake in deer camp with his children and grandchildren. Dale had a special love for animals and had many pets throughout his lifetime, most recently chihuahua Zues. Dale enjoyed taking many trips with his 2 Dianes (Diane Galbraith). He was sure to be found at the legion's Friday night fish frys and having dessert at the local ice cream shop. Dale lived to provide for his family and was always a reliable trusted source for his community.    He is survived by his wife, Diane Hodgson; brother, Dennis (Nancy) Hodgson; and sisters, Bonnie Hodgson and Betty (Wayne) Hildebrandt; brothers-in-law, Dave (Pat) Beske and Ricardo Gonzalez; sister-in-law, Sharon Beske.   Dale is survived by his children, Jonathan (grandchildren, Jenna and Sarah); Nathan and Becky (grandchildren, Cora and Kaleb); Chadwick and Kari (grandchildren, Nicholas and son, Katelyn and daughters, Hunter and Brookelyn); Andrew; and Angela (grandchild, Lavonnah).  Dale is also survived by many nieces and nephews, Jeremy Gonzalez, Tony Gonzalez, Tammy Villarreal, Eric Hildebrandt, April Lindert, Ashley Dylak, Jeanette Beske and Steve Beske.    He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilbert and Cora Hodgson; stepmother, Edna Hodgson; and parents- in-law, Eugene and Carol Beske. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Darlene Gonzelez and brother-in-law, Dennis Beske.    Memorial services for Dale were held on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 4 p.m. at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon with Rev. Daniel Seehafer officiating. A visitation for Dale was held from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. the hour of the service at the church.    Eleanor Ball of Edina, MN, and Naples, FL, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 22, 2022, at age 87. Eleanor was born in Sparta, as the first child to Lloyd Duard Allan and Janet Catherine (Newton) Allan on June 6, 1935. The family settled in Mayville, where her father practiced law with the Thiel and Allan Law Firm.    Eleanor was a woman who was fully committed to her family. She was a loving wife and strategic business partner to the love of her life, Scott Ball. She loved being a mom to her four children as she was always there for them every step of the way. And she was a devoted daughter who cherished her parents throughout their lives.    One of her favorite pastimes was building, and decorating houses with her husband. The two of them had so much fun together designing, overseeing the construction, and decorating new homes across the country. Their projects are still standing today in Illinois, Nebraska, Florida, Minnesota, Colorado, and California.    She was a huge lover of the beach. She loved the sunshine, the palm trees, and sitting on a beach chair next to her favorite people while watching the waves come in. She loved planning family travel adventures too. Surprisingly, the destinations were usually to a beach! Some of her favorite vacations were to: Italy’s Amalfi Coast, Istanbul, Hawaii, Interlaken, Paris, Greek Islands, California, Tuscany, and her childhood family cottage on Green Lake in Wisconsin.   Eleanor and Scott loved to entertain their family and friends. She loved to cook and the two of them “cooked up” crazy party themes. Just to name a few: “The Wisconsin Badgers Pep Rally” (with Bucky Badger and the Wisconsin Marching band), “Back to the 1950’s with The Four Tops,” “Disco with The Village People,” “Mark VII Backyard Olympics,” and their annual Santa’s reindeer theme, “Rudi and Vixen’s” Family Christmas Celebration.    Eleanor graduated from Mayville High School in 1953 and attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison, graduating with a degree in Journalism in 1957. In college, she became a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority where she developed life-long friends. They stayed close, forever friends by writing Round Robin Letters to each other for nearly 60 years!    Upon college graduation, Eleanor landed a job in Park Ridge, IL, as a Journalism Teacher at Maine Township High School. She moved to the Chicago area to begin her teaching career and pursue her other dream of becoming a newspaper reporter for the Chicago Tribune. She wanted to write stories to help take down the Chicago Mob!    In the summer of 1957, soon after her arrival to Park Ridge, she went on a date to a party on the shores of Lake Michigan - hosted by her future husband, Scott Ball. Unfortunately for her date, Eleanor and Scott were introduced to each other and it was love at first sight! The two of them could not take their eyes off each other. A few days later, Scott took Eleanor out on their own date to Tony’s Cellar on Rush Street in downtown Chicago. The two of them continued the date for 63 years!! They were married in Eleanor’s hometown of Mayville, on June 14, 1958. They built a life and a family together in the Chicago suburbs, Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska, Edina, Minnesota, and Naples, Florida.    Eleanor is survived by her husband of 63 years, Scott and her children, Jan Finken (Dave), Carolyn Holmes (Bob), Scott Ball (Colletta), and Nancy Schneider; the Finken grandchildren, Taylor, Kyle, and Jake; the Holmes grandchildren, Bobby and Catherine; the Ball grandchildren, Natalie and Steven; and the Schneider grandchildren, Tanner, Sadie, and Lucy.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Janet and Lloyd Allan and sister, Sally (Allan) Onan.    Eleanor will be remembered for her happy smile, positive attitude, quick-witted intelligence, and making friends wherever she went. She led a beautiful life filled with love, wonderful people and places, and FUN! She was a spectacular lady, and she will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.   The Celebration of Eleanor Ball will be held at Interlachen Country Club in Edina, Minnesota from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19.
