Conrad “Connie” Buerger, 87, of Brownsville was called home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2022, at St. Agnes SSM in Fond du Lac surrounded by his loving family.   Connie was born on August 3, 1934, in Campbellsport to Silverious and Olive Buerger (Wondra).   He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Audrey J. Beck, on April 21, 1954, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira.   Connie graduated from Lomira High School in 1953, where his passion was baseball and basketball.    He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Connie was a mason by trade. He and his beloved brother Bill owned and operated Buerger's Masonry for 20 years. After he retired, he went back to his first love, farming, with his son, Gary.   Connie enjoyed fishing on the pontoon, cribbage, visiting casinos, and spending time with his family.He was a life long member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira.    Those Connie leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 67 years, Audrey; four children, Holly (Dale) Rose, Cindy (Harry) Baker, Jody (Jim) Hillmann, and Gary (RaeAnn) Buerger; 11 grandchildren, Katie (Chris) Pickhardt, Kristin (Eric) Stortz, Justin Baker, Stacey (Deven) Fink, Tate Hillmann, Breanna Buerger, Bryce Buerger, Brady (Sadie) Buerger, Bennett Buerger, Janna (Ben) Zak, and Justin (Katy) Hillmann; 13 great-grandchildren, Cooper Pickhardt, Julia and Charlie Stortz, Emmett Fink, Hailie, Hazel, and Brayden Buerger, Willow, Clyde, Magnolia, and Felix Zak, and Hazel and Ivy Hillmann; five silbings, Mary Ann Betz, LuEllen (Kenny) Reimer, Donna Herman, Mike Buerger, and Dean (Stephanie) Buerger; and sisters-in-law, Jean Buerger and Joan Buerger. He is further survived by his canine companion, Sassy; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.    In addition to his parents, Connie was preceded in death by his siblings, Joe Buerger and Bill Buerger; brothers-in-law, Frannie Herman and Wally Betz; and sister-in-law, Gladys Buerger.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (699 Milwaukee St. – Lomira, WI 53048) with Father Nathaniel Miniatt officiating. Entombment will be at Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du Lac following Mass.   No public visitation will be held.    A Celebration of Connie’s life will be held at the Brownsville Community Center (817 W Main Street – Brownsville, WI 53006) on Saturday after the entombment.    Richard L. “Dick” Haefs, formerly of Lomira, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022, at The Courtyard at Oshkosh where he resided for the past three months. He previously resided at Sage Meadows in Fond du Lac for 2 years.   He was born on August 9, 1935, to the late Richard and Helen Hoefs.   On May 31, 1958, he was united in marriage to the late Janice Heuer.    Dick was in the Army, stationed in post WWII Europe from 1957 to 58, and was honorably discharged from the Army Reserves in 1962.   He was involved with pony pulls in his younger years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, whether it was traveling, watching his children/grandchildren’s sporting events, or relaxing reading the paper. He had a special love of animals. He spent his free time tinkering around the house and hobby farm. He took pride in providing for his family.   Dick was employed by Mercury Marine as a machinist for over 30 years. He also worked for Cole Oil Company of Lomira for 30 years.   He was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Lomira.    Those Dick leaves behind to cherish his memory include his five children, Michael (Monica) Haefs, Sherrill Haefs, Kevin (Lynn) Haefs, Scott (Kelly) Haefs, and Randy Haefs; nine grandchildren, Shannon (Ryan) Zahn, Leigh (Rick) Ramczyk, Jill (Nick) Shultis, Erik (Beckie) Haefs, Kurtis (Taylor) Haefs, Joshua (Colleen) Haefs, Carisa (Chris) Thompson, Benjamin Haefs, and Nicole Haefs; and 16 great-grandchildren.  Mary Dallesasse, 79, of Mayville passed away peacefully on February 11, 2022, with her family by her side.   Mary was born in Milwaukee on March 26,1942, to Edward F. Donley and Doris C. (Sarow) Donley. She grew up the daughter of a truck farmer and tinkerer and had many adventures in the fields surrounding her childhood home in Menomonee Falls. She shared her adventures with her two sisters and many cousins. As a child, Mary attended Nelson School, a one room country schoolhouse, and always thought with her “Nelson School Logic.”   Mary married Richard Dallesasse on September 11,1965, at St. Leo’s Parish in Milwaukee and they shared 57 years of marriage together. As a child, Mary dreamed of becoming a wife and mother. She made her dream come true with Richard. Mary was a devoted wife and loving mother who worked tirelessly for her family and made her family strong.   Mary’s creativity knew no bounds. She was a skilled quilter who enjoyed many quilting adventures with her Bernina Babes.   Mary is survived by her husband, Richard Dallesasse and their two children, Scott Dallesasse and Jill Dallesasse. She is also survived by her grandson, Lucas Dallesasse; her sisters, Donna Hagel and Marge (Jack) Kurtzbein, and countless friends and relatives.    Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Edward F. Donley and Doris C. (Sarow) Donley; her in-laws, Emil D. Dallesasse and Emeline J.    Shirley A. Paulus, 86, of Theresa, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.    Shirley was born the daughter of Erwin and Sophia (Stefanski) Junger on October 21, 1935, in Milwaukee.   She was a graduate of Pulaski High School.   On December 18, 1954, she was united in marriage to Edward R. Paulus in Milwaukee.    Alongside her husband, the two owned and operated Ye Olde Village Inn in Theresa. Shirley was also a longtime cook at the Pub in Mayville. Volunteering in her community was also important to Shirley and she worked the polls for many years in Theresa and was active with the Theresa Historical Society.    In her spare time, Shirley enjoyed baking, cooking, crafting, and a good game of Yahtzee. She was also a gifted seamstress and liked to cross stitch. Her homemade Christmas stockings that were made for every single member of her family are a treasured family heirloom. She will be fondly remembered for her wonderful hugs and kind smile.   Shirley is survived by her children, Jim (Debra) Paulus of Ripon, Pam (Gene) Koll of Theresa, Dawn (Jeffrey) Guelig of Theresa, and Jackie (Carey) Jacak of Lomira; her grandchildren, Stephanie (Aaron) Cunningham, Kevin (Gretchen) Paulus, Katie (Michael) Noel, Ryan (Amber) Koll, Joshua (Samantha) Jacak, Jeremy Jacak, and Kayla (McHale Dye) Jacak; six great-grandchildren, Connor, Trevor, Jenna, Hazen, Mykah, and Ava; her brother, Eugene (Marg) Junger of Brownsville; further survived by other relatives and friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents; and her loving husband, Edward.   A memorial service in memory of Shirley will be held on Friday, Feb. 18, at 5 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville with Pastor Phil Wheelehan officiating.    Wayne L. Del Ponte, 81, of Mayville, passed away peace­fully on Feb­ru­ary 7, 2022.    He was born Au­gust 24, 1940, to Peter and Mar­ian Del Ponte of Knowles.   He grad­u­ated from Mayville High School in 1958.   On April 28, 1962, he mar­ried the love of his life, Ar­litt We­gener and made their home in Mayville, after serv­ing four years in the Air Force in Delaware.   Prior to his re­tire­ment, Wayne worked as a mas­ter car­pen­ter of his own busi­ness, W & W Builders. Later he worked as an En­gi­neer for Glea­son Reel.   Spend­ing time with fam­ily was his fa­vorite past time, but many of his mem­o­rable days were on the water fish­ing and trav­el­ing. He was ac­tive in the com­mu­nity through­out his years, serv­ing as a vol­un­teer fire­fighter, Lions mem­ber, Knights of Colum­bus, and Le­gion mem­ber.   His cheer­ful/sassy at­ti­tude and bright smile will be deeply missed.   Wayne is sur­vived by his wife, Ar­litt Del Ponte (nick­name “Chick­adee”); and daugh­ters (nick­name “Wayne’s An­gels”), Kim (Gill) Brown, Chris­tine (Greg) Neu, and Jackie (Dev) Beal; nine grand­chil­dren and eight great-grand­chil­dren.  He is also sur­vived by his sib­lings, Denis (Sue) Del Ponte, Dale (Jan) Del Ponte, Carol (Steve) Krueger, Lee (Carol) Del Ponte, Sally Baier, Tim Del Ponte, and Alan Del Ponte; sis­ter-in-law, Kate (Keith) Stieve; brother-in-laws, Den­nis (Kim) Welak, and Tim Welak (Patti Clement).   Wayne was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents and mother-in-law and fa­ther-in-law, Eli­nor and James Welak.   A pri­vate memo­r­ial Mass of Chris­t­ian Bur­ial will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev.    Donald A. Sorgent, 75, of Mayville passed away on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022 at UW-Hospital in Madison.   Donald was born the son of Anthony and Alice (Guse) Sorgent on December 9, 1946, in Beaver Dam.   He was a 1965 graduate of Mayville High School. Donald served his country honorably in the US Army during Vietnam.   He was united in marriage to Mary Lou Schultz on November 14, 1980.   Donald was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville.   He had worked as a welder and worked for Michel’s Pipeline, JF Ahern Co., Bullseye in Juneau, and also had his own welding business for a short period, Sorgie’s Weld Shop.    Donald loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the birds. He also liked to garden. Alongside his family, they loved the time spent at their cabin in Butternut. He was a lifetime member of Wisconsin Bow Hunters Association. Donald was also a member of the Mayville American Legion Post #69.   Family was most important to Donald and he loved and cherished the time spent with them, especially his grandchildren.   Donald is survived by his wife, Mary Lou of Mayville; his daughter, Nicole (Richard) Simon of West Bend; his grandchildren, Lilliana, Amelia, and Roman; his siblings, Richard (Marleen) Sorgent of Antigo, Gloria Schrab of Mayville, and Michael Sorgent of Horicon; his brother-in-law, Joseph (Carol) Schultz of Beaver Dam; his sisters-in-law, Mari Lynn (DuWayne) Griepentrog of Horicon and Cynthia Schultz of Montana. Dennis M. Braun, 66, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2022.   Dennis was born on December 16, 1955, the son of Ralph and Rose (Liegl) Braun in Beaver Dam.   He graduated from Mayville High School in 1975.   He was united in marriage to Catherine Mattson on July 22, 1978, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mayville.   Dennis was a devoted paper boy, worked at Piggly Wiggly for several years and retired from Mayville Engineering Company at the end of December 2020, after 43 years as a tool and die maker.   In his spare time, Dennis enjoyed remodeling their house, hunting, fishing and going to the store to talk with people. Most of all, he loved cooking, grilling, and spending time with his family.   Dennis is survived by his wife, Catherine; and their children, Sara Braun, Susan Crout, Michael (Kaitlin) Braun and John Braun, all of Mayville.  Emery J. Walker gained her angel wings at 8:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, with her parents, Logan and Jacey by her side.   Our sweet Emery J. was born on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021, in Beloit, to Logan Tippin and Jacey Walker. She came into this world at 10 lbs. 3 oz., 20.5 inches long, with a head full of dark curly hair.   After birth, Emery was transferred to American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, due to meconium aspiration. Upon arrival, Emery was diagnosed with Truncus Arteriosus, a congenital heart disease that required surgery nine days after her birth. Emery endured a 12-hour open heart surgery, where they conducted six different interventions. We were told that this was going to be a long process with a difficult recovery. Our brave girl spent the next 18 days overcoming small victories. She had a few setbacks during that time that called for three more small procedures. After a long fight, her little heart decided that it was too precious for this world.    Emery is survived by her parents, Logan Tippin and Jacey Walker; maternal grandmother, Amy Walker; paternal grandparents, Patricia and Christopher Bradley; maternal great-grandmother, Marjorie Harris; maternal great-grandfather, Dennis Walker; paternal great-grandmother, Suzanne Pieper; paternal great-grandfather, Russel Bradley; uncles, Keegan, Payton, Quinton, Bryton, and Easton Bradley; many great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and special little friends.   She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jason Walker; maternal great-grandmother, George Ann Walker; maternal great-grandfather, Paul Harris; maternal great-great-grandmother, “GG” Clara Nottestad and Wanda Walker; maternal great-uncle, Shawn Harris.   Emery J. will be deeply missed.    Carrie M. Lyons, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, at her home in Horicon.   Carrie was born on June 25, 1938, to Ewald and Carrie (Prame) Benter in Horicon.   She was united in marriage to Clifford E. Lyons on September 14, 1958, at St. Malachy’s Catholic Church in Horicon.   Carrie was a graduate of Horicon High School in 1956 and then went on to work at John Deere Horicon Works until she started her family. She also worked at Juneau Wood Products as general manager until it closed. Carrie then went to work for Dr. Fred Karsten until he retired and then worked at Cedar Haven Rehabilitation Agency until her retirement.    In her spare time, Carrie enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.
