Outdoor Gathering:  Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.  Location:  St. Matthew Cemetery in Iron Ridge Earl Schellpfeffer, 93, of Iron Ridge, passed away September 4, 2020, at Eagles Wings Assisted Living in Beaver Dam. Earl was born October 1, 1926, to Herbert and Lydia (Koepsell) Schellpfeffer of Mayville. He was united in marriage to Darlene Moldenhauer September 22, 1956, at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge. They lived and farmed in the Township of Herman. In 1963 they sold the farm and moved to Iron Ridge. Earl took a job at Mayville Metal until retirement. On the weekends he enjoyed bartending at Zivko’s Chandelier Ballroom. Earl was a faithful member of St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church. Earl was a lifelong member of the Iron Ridge Fire Department. He always looked forward to running the hamburger stand at the yearly picnics. Earl also enjoyed bowling in his younger years, gardening, making homemade wine, playing sheepshead and spending time with the grandchildren. He enjoyed his 93 years of life and never wasted a minute. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Darlene; his children, Debby (Jack) Tessmann of Wichita, KS, Todd (Brenda) Schellpfeffer of Theresa, Tammy Schellpfeffer of Iron Ridge, Jill (Tim) Weisensel of Juneau; also 16 grandchildren, Renee, Trisha, Ashley, Christa, Staci, Tiffany, Brett, Tanya, Aaron, Sierra, Emily, Brennan, Breanna, Chaunston, Lyndon and Madalayne and 22 great-grandchildren and his brother, Marvin (Lorraine) Schellpfeffer. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Judy; his brothers-in-law, Marvin and Glenn Moldenhauer and sister-in-law, Marcy Moldenhauer. There was an outdoor gathering for Earl on Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 1 until 2:30 p.m. at St. Matthew Cemetery in Iron Ridge, with a private family funeral service to follow with Rev. Larry Mose officiating. Interment was at St. Matthew Cemetery, Iron Ridge. Memorials may be directed to St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Iron Ridge. Harold was born the son of August and Elisabeth (Bischoff) Reiser on October 4, 1930, in LeRoy. He was united in marriage to Janet Gremminger on October 9, 1954. Harold had farmed in LeRoy and also worked at Mayville Engineering Company. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. In his spare time Harold loved playing cards, gardening, and attending festivals. He was a avid Packer fan and enjoyed polka dancing. Harold also loved talking about his farming days. Harold is survived by his sons, Steve (Judy) Reiser of Mayville and Gary Reiser of Mayville; his grandchildren, Justin Reiser, Karli (Andrew) Resch, and Heather (Jared) Hansen; his great -grandchildren, Isabelle, Josie, Hunter, Kyler, and Connor. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet; his sister, Ida Thurk-Axtman; and brothers, Norbert and Leonard. A visitation will take place on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 9:30 until 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville with the Rev. Tom Biersack presiding. Qualmann, 86, of Beaver Dam, died peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020, with family by his side. Glenn Herbert Qualmann was born on September 18, 1933, on the family farm in Horicon to Paul and Hilda (Ewert) Qualmann. He graduated from Mayville High School. On April 30, 1955, he was united in marriage with Donna Scherger. Glenn worked at Monarch Range, Kirsh Foundry, Flynn Motors, and United Auto Parts, fully retiring in 2016. He was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. In his spare time, Glenn enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He spent time at his cottage in Ladysmith, and had many trips to South Padre and Mexico. Glenn loved to drive the countryside and bar hop. Glenn is survived by his daughters, Sue (Bud) Benter, Laurie Schroeder (Dave Gilbertson), and Nancy (Steve) Hermann, all of Beaver Dam; special friend, Arlene Hagen of Iron Ridge; brothers, Paul Qualmann of Fond du Lac and Jim (Diane) Qualmann of Horicon; grandchildren, Kristin, April, Lindsey, Ben, Kelly, and Kari; great-grandchildren, Angelique, Isaac, Ian, Zander, Ellie, Ayden, Jaelynn, and Harper; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Willard) Haslow of Mayville and Barbara Dudec of Hartford; other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Donna, in 2013; his parents-in-law, Herman and Bernice Scherger; sister-in-law, Barbara Qualmann; grandsons, Christopher Benter and Jason Gilbertson. The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Monday, Sept. 14, from 4 to 6 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 6 p.m. Pastor Jim Wendt of First Ev. Visitation:  Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 10 to 11 a.m.  Service:  Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 11 a.m.  Location:  St. Andrew's Catholic Church in LeRoy Helen (Collien) Beck, 95, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2020. Helen was born on December 6, 1924, in Mayville, a daughter of Edwin and Erna (Meyer) Collien. She grew up in Mayville, attending St. Mary’s Catholic School until eighth grade. On September 2, 1944, she married Victor Hinkes Sr. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Mayville. He was deceased on June 30, 1978. On April 2, 1983 she married Rolland Beck at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in LeRoy. Rolland passed away on December 9, 2006. Helen and Rolland enjoyed travel and their cottage on Lake Winnebago where family and friends always felt welcome. In later years, Helen loved going to the casino, but her favorite times were when her brothers and sisters celebrated their birthdays. It meant going out to lunch and an afternoon of playing Left/Right/ Center. She loved her eight years at Hope Senior Living, especially her afternoons of sheepshead and evenings of any kind of game. A special Thank You to Patti Wells, who was Helen’s angel, and the many other great caregivers at Hope. Helen is survived by her two children, Carol (Sylvester) Gassner and Victor (Mary) Hinkes Jr.; seven step-children, Mary (Victor) Hinkes Jr., Diane Rosenberg, Sue (Mark) Miller, Luann (Steve) Bogenschneider, Patty Beck, Kenny (Bonnie) Beck, and Rob (Lynn) Beck; brothers, Raymond (Joann) Collien and Melvin “Cookie” Collien; sister, Delores Neumeyer; and sister-in-law, Lucille Collien. She is the grandmother of Annette (Steve Micklas) Hechimovich, Daniel (Susan) Gassner, Connie (Tony) Quinn, Kim (Randy) Smith, Corey (Erica) Hinkes and 11 step-grandchildren. She had eight great-grandchildren, 14 step-great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Victor Hinkes Sr. and Rolland Beck; sisters, Maxine Weyer and Rose Wald; brother, Eddie Collien; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Collien and LaVerne Hinkes; brothers-in-law, Milton “Bud” Collien, Melvin Hinkes, Leo Weyer and Jack Wald; and step-grandson, Nicholas Beck. Visitation was held on Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in LeRoy. A Mass of Christian Burial began at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tom Biersack presiding. Burial was held at St. Andrew Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be direct to St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville served the family. Lutheran Church in Horicon Lorraine Gladys Miescke, 83, of Horicon, passed away peacefully in Portage, on August 28, 2020, with her children by her side. Lori was born September 27, 1936, in Dekorra, the daughter of Edward and Irene (Smithke) Gehin. She was a 1956 graduate of Mt. Horeb High School. She was united in marriage to Edward Ronald Miescke on May 23,1964. Lori was very creative and enjoyed writing children’s books, quilting, crocheting and painting, among other crafts. She also enjoyed nature walks with her husband Ed and labrador companion by her side. More than anything she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Lori is survived by her children, Ronald Miescke of Seminole, FL, Brian (Shelly) Miescke of Horicon, Sara (Rik) Rickerson of Portage, Juliane (Patrick) Becker of Madison; grandchildren, Genevieve, Stephen, Chloe, Taylor, Josephine, and Joshua; siblings, Delores (John) Schlub of Prairie du Sac, Morris (LuAnn) Gehin of Lodi, and Catherine Stumpf of Rio, as well as many other family and friends. Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Irene; stepfather, Frank X. Stumpf; husband, Edward; siblings, John, Charles, Harold, Joseph, Marvin, and David; and grandson, Spencer. Visitation will take place prior at the St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. noon. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 12 p.m. at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon with the Rev. Daniel Seehafer officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband Ed, the love of her life. Susan Marie Keller


Susan Marie Keller, 73, of Iron Ridge drifted into her eternal rest on August 30, 2020, at her home with her family by her side. She was born the daughter of Elon ‘Zeke’ and Zatha Darlene (Welch) Walter in Stevens Point, on August 9, 1947. Sue’s father Zeke was relocated to Mayville for work in 1963. She was a 1965 graduate of Mayville High School. Sue was united in marriage to William (Bill) Keller Jr. on August 14, 1965 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge, and she truly loved all of the 55 years of marriage to her loving husband Bill. Sue had done many things over the years, but her passion was taking care of those who were ill and/or in failing health, and often went out of her way to do so. She did all of this from the goodness of her heart. As a faithful member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, another joy for Sue was being a member of the ladies aide group where she helped to plan, prep, and serve countless funeral luncheons and Holiday meals for her fellow parishioners. Whatever the need, she was always there to lend a helping hand. Sue loved her family, and especially loved taking care of her grandchildren, “adopted” grandchildren, and recent great-grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held for the family at St. Matthew’s Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Mose officiating. John “Jack” Flouro

Lutheran Church in Horicon John “Jack” Flouro, 67, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020, at SSM Health–St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Jack was born on October 14, 1952, in Beaver Dam, the youngest of eight children of Edward and Genevieve (Bennett) Flouro. He served in the United States Air Force and in the US Army Reserves. On August 25, 1973, Jack was united in marriage with Jayne Pegelow, his sweetheart since sixth grade. He had a great work ethic and held several jobs from auto body shops, to sales positions to working at a distribution center; he truly was a jack-of-all-trades. Family was very important to Jack; whether it was Brad call him “Paw” or Jack referring to Julie as “his little Munchkin” or spending time with his grandchildren; he treasured those times. He also looked forward to the annual trip up north to Big Flats for deer hunting with his buddies. Jack enjoyed motorcycles, golfing, bowling, softball and camping. He was a member of St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church and the Horicon American Legion Post #157 of which he was a past commander. Survivors include his wife, Jayne of Horicon; two children, Bradley (Rachel) Flouro of Fond du Lac and Julie (Ben) Zieman of Beaver Dam; six grandchildren, Jackson, Braelyn, Dylan and Devin Flouro, and Lucas and Sadie Zieman; two brothers, Phil (Diane) Flouro of Marinette and Kenneth (Barb) Flouro of Ladysmith; a sister, Jeanette (Melvin “Tiny”) Hanson of Michigan; a brother-in-law, Paul Ponath of Sun Prairie; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Edward, Richard, and Dennis Flouro; and a sister, Chris Ponath. Visitation for Jack will be at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon on Thursday, Sept. 3, from 9:30 am to 10:50 am. Funeral services will follow at church on Thursday beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Seehafer officiating. William “Scott” Acup


Gathering: Claussen Tavern from 6 to 10 p.m. in Union, IL On Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020, William “Scott” Acup, 60, passed away with his wife Amy by his side. He was born February 11, 1960, in Belvidere, IL, to Charles and Juanita Acup. He was raised in the Union area for most of his life. He lived in Wisconsin, Texas, and North Carolina for the past several years. Scott’s passion was driving truck. He started driving grain trucks and went on to driving semis. He was known on the highway as “nervous wreck.” When he was not driving, he loved to ride his motorcycle, enjoyed spending time with family and loved his grandkids. He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage every chance he got. He is survived by his wife, Amy; sisters, Karen (Bob) Walsh, Tammy Marshall (Mike Bray), Sandi Zickuhr; daughters, Michelle Lively (Nate Koleno), Kristina Rayome and son, Steven Rayome (Chelsea Berry). Scott had six grandchildren, Joshua (Courtney) Shannon, Shelby, Rylee, Mikayla, William, Millie and great-grandchild, Liam. He had many nieces and nephews that adored him. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Charles, and his mother, Juanita; and two brothers, Terry and Keith (Tuna) Acup and his faithful dogs, Jojo and Vegas. September 11, there will be a gathering at Claussen Tavern in Union, IL, from 6 to 10 p.m. in honor of Scott. In lieu of flowers the family would like for you to donate to an area Animal Shelter in honor of Scott.
