District Presents Service Award To Jeanne Feucht


ZACH COOK Each year, the Wisconsin Athletic Directors Association allows districts to designate a Wisconsin Athletic Service Award to a member of their community. Jeanne Feucht, like she has done since the early ‘80s, attended last week’s wrestling meet against Springs/NFDL to show support for her alma mater. Much to her surprise, all four of her children were also in attendance with one of her sons traveling as much as five hours one way to be in attendance.

School Board Approves Several Upgrades To District


ZACH COOK During the January 8 meeting, the Lomira School Board approved several upgrades to the district, totaling more than $250,000. The building and grounds committee made the recommendation for seven upgrades to the building and campus in Lomira. The largest portion of the upgrades is replacing 27,400 square feet of the roof near the elementary gym and music suite in Lomira. That totals $156,887.

Leon and Joan have both played a vital role in the Lomira community for more than six decades. Despite their incredibly long list of accomplishments while in Lomira, the couple still saw this recognition as a surprise.

Pioneer Keg To Host Viewing Party For Discover Wisconsin Feature


ZACH COOK The Pioneer Keg staff is inviting the public to join them on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. for a viewing party of an upcoming episode of Discover Wisconsin.A filming crew from the show spent the day at the Pioneer Keg in October to learn more about their famous brick cheese curds. Earlier in 2019, USA Today compiled a list of the top-10 cheese curd places in Wisconsin and the Pioneer Keg was listed at number nine.
