ZACH COOK Lomira High School senior Steven Aguirre was named the Youth Apprentice of the Month in December after his exceptional work at Quad/Graphics.Aguirre joined the youth apprenticeship program through Envision in Fond du Lac as a junior and is nearing the end of his 900 hour program.

ZACH COOK A teacher at Lomira Elementary was named the Teacher of the Month for December by the radio station Sunny 97.7. Bobbi Doyle teaches second grade in Lomira and learned of her recognition during an assembly in December, much to her surprise.

ZACH COOK Prior to students at Lomira High School leaving for winter break, they met with and listened to alumni speak about their paths after graduation.Adminstration had been organizing the event for the past two weeks by reaching out to alumni returning home for the holidays to speak to students. Graffiti Inside Classroom Deemed Non-Threatening


ZACH COOK Graffiti found inside a classroom in Lomira caused some panic in the community last week after some misunderstanding of a message sent to families in the District last Tuesday.“I was first made aware of what superintendent Mr. Lloyd described to me as graffiti, not a threat, written on the bottom of a drawer in a science room,” Lomira Police Chief Bryan Frank said. “In speaking with Mr. Lloyd, he did not believe it to be a threat; however, given the recent events, he was going to send out notifications to parents.”
