ZACH COOK The Mayville boys basketball team picked up two wins last week by a combined eight points.The Cardinals earned a non-conference win against Watertown Luther Prep (59-53) on January 28 and followed that with a conference win against St. Mary’s Springs by a score of 59-57 on January 30.

ZACH COOK After a back and forth first half, the Lomira boys basketball team utilized a strong second half against North Fond du Lac February 30. The Lions (11-5) outscored the Orioles (213) by 10 in the final 18 minutes of the game to secure a 67-43 win and improve to 7-2 in the conference standings.

Unfortunately for the Horicon Marshladies, it was the Oakfield Oaks who prevailed last Tuesday night at the Junior-Senior High School gymnasium by a score of 59-61.

ZACH COOK The Lomira boys basketball team ended its four-game losing streak with a conference win in Mayville last Thursday. The Lions came away with a 61-54 victory, to improve to 4-1 in the conference standings.“ I thought our team came out ready to play,” Lomira Head Coach Tyler Witkowski said. “We had some individuals have some big performances and that’s a product of who they are as players and using an opportunity to do a little bit more now that we have Kaleb [Weston] hurt.”
