MITCHELL BRADLEY KELLER With just one non-conference game left to play at the time of this publication, the Mountain Top Christian Academy (Horicon) Cougars boys basketball team was a perfect 20-0 overall and 14-0 in conference. Those 14 straight wins in the Indian Trails Blue Conference are enough to lock in a title, returning to the top after taking second last season.

ZACH COOK The Mayville boys basketball team picked up two wins last week by a combined eight points.The Cardinals earned a non-conference win against Watertown Luther Prep (59-53) on January 28 and followed that with a conference win against St. Mary’s Springs by a score of 59-57 on January 30.

ZACH COOK After a back and forth first half, the Lomira boys basketball team utilized a strong second half against North Fond du Lac February 30. The Lions (11-5) outscored the Orioles (213) by 10 in the final 18 minutes of the game to secure a 67-43 win and improve to 7-2 in the conference standings.

MITCHELL BRADLEY KELLER It was a contest billed as the “Game of the Trailways East Conference” for girls’ varsity basketball, and it concluded as advertised with the winning team clinching the victory by just two points on a last second shot. Unfortunately for the Horicon Marshladies, it was the Oakfield Oaks who prevailed last Tuesday night at the Junior-Senior High School gymnasium by a score of 59-61.
