Breakfast on the Farm Continues the Tradition of Celebrating Wisconsin’s June Dairy Month
Amy Ries
Director of Agricultural Programs, Envision Greater Fond du Lac, Inc.

On June 28, Tower View Acres of Mount Calvary welcomed thousands of guests to their farm for the Fond du Lac County Breakfast on the Farm.
Attendees enjoyed a delicious, farm-fresh breakfast served in the Lakeview Electric Contractors food tent, along with cheese samples and Culver’s custard cups.

This event allowed the public to experience agriculture at a modern dairy operation, showcasing its automated feeding system and robotic milkers.
After enjoying breakfast, many explored the Alliant Energy Foundation Farm Education Zone.
Guests were able to watch the milking process and the feeding system on the walking barn tours, interact with farm animals, challenge themselves with many educational activities and even participate in a kiddie pedal tractor pull with fun for the whole family.
June Dairy Month celebrates how dairy impacts our daily lives and Wisconsin’s economy, contributing $52.8 billion annually.
Wisconsin is home to more than 1.28 million cows. It’s no wonder we are known as America’s Dairyland.
Every farmer may have a different story to share, but in the end, they create a quality product for consumers, as well as being stewards of the land and water.
Thank you, Farmers.
