The Campbellsport FFA Chapter is proud to recognize Kaydence Hodorff for earning a National Gold Rating in Dairy Production – Placement, one of the highest honors awarded to an FFA member.
This prestigious recognition places her among the top agricultural students in the entire nation, showcasing her exceptional skill, dedication, and leadership in the dairy industry.
Kaydence’s success is the result of years of commitment to her Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) at her family’s farm, Second Look Holsteins.
She began working on the farm in 2019, learning the basics of animal care, feeding, and farm operations.
Over the years, she has advanced into key leadership roles, serving as Calf Manager and Assistant Maternity Manager.
In these roles, Kaydence has developed expertise in calf health, maternity care, disease prevention, and the integration of new technology to improve herd management.
Her SAE also highlights her problem-solving skills, from addressing calf health challenges to calibrating new equipment like the farm’s Milk Taxi system, as well as her ability to train other students interested in agriculture.
Kaydence’s achievements reflect not only her passion for the dairy industry but also her dedication to building hands-on experience, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of agricultural science and business management.
To earn this distinction, Kaydence completed a rigorous National Proficiency Award application, documenting over five years of work experience, thousands of hours of hands-on learning, and the skills she has gained in livestock care, biosecurity, technology use, and farm management.
The Gold Rating demonstrates her excellence at the highest level of competition, a recognition few students achieve.
The Campbellsport FFA Chapter is proud to celebrate Kaydence’s outstanding accomplishments and the hard work it took to reach this milestone!
