Campbellsport High School is proud to announce its Students of the Month for the month of February. All high school students are eligible for this honor. Teachers make their selections based upon attitude, effort, character, interest, and achievements, as exhibited in the classroom and school community. Students are nominated by their teachers and then chosen by department.
Administration, faculty, and staff are committed to developing future leaders in our community. We want to honor those who are striving each and every day to be those future leaders, who demonstrate this by their positive actions and behaviors.
Congratulations to Zoey Gau, Reyse Steffen, Alexis Swift, and Payton Temperle for being selected as the CHS Students of the Month in February.
The Math Department is honored to nominate Zoey Gau as CHS February 2026 Student of the Month for Mathematics. The last month has been one of the most impressive turnarounds I have witnessed from a student. After missing almost 3 weeks of school in January, Zoey came back with a purpose and determination to not only make up everything she missed, but exceed her previous efforts in Geometry. This amount of work and dedication is why Zoey has earned the honor of Student of the Month for Mathematics. Statement submitted by Matthew Madsen.
For the month of February, the Social Studies department is nominating Reyse Steffen. Reyse has been an amazing student in U.S. History as well as her other classes. She shows up every day with a positive attitude and an unmatched work ethic. She has shown a great deal of improvement since the beginning of the year and will continue to improve while at CHS. Reyse not only shines in my class, but she helps everyone around her improve in class. She is not afraid to ask complex questions or add on to what other students ask. Reyse will continue to impress as she finishes her freshman year! Statement submitted by Mr. Schilling.
It is my pleasure to recognize Alexis Swift as the Art Student of the Month. She consistently demonstrates exceptional responsibility and dedication through her ability to meet every deadline while producing artwork of outstanding quality. Her work reflects both technical skill and thoughtful creative exploration, showing a deep commitment to growth as an artist. What is especially impressive is her strong self-motivation and independence; even while I am teaching another class, she remains focused, productive, and fully engaged in her artistic process. She takes initiative, manages her time effectively, and continually challenges herself to elevate her work. Her maturity, discipline, and passion for art make her truly deserving of this recognition. Congratulations, Alexis, on this well-deserved recognition! Statement submitted by Erin Nelson.
Congratulations to the Physical Education Student of the Month, Payton Temperle. Payton went above and beyond in her Strength and Conditioning class, displaying leadership, hard work, and a positive attitude every day. Payton made it a habit to complete her workout and then proceed to help others around her. If her friends had questions, Payton was always there to point them in the right direction and even offer demonstrations.
