County Officials Hosting Public Listening Session on Possible New Jail

Posted

The Fond Du Lac County Board is in the early stages of discussing a potential new jail and possible justice center. At this time, no votes have been taken regarding location, design, or cost. Any future votes can only occur after the County Board is presented with formal design concepts and clearly defined options.
To help inform the public, Fond Du Lac County Board Supervisor Tom Dornbrook and Ken Deppermann will host an information and listening session on Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. at the Campbellsport Public Library.
Also in attendance will be County Executive Sam Kaufman and Sheriff Ryan Waldshmidt.
This event will provide an opportunity for residents of southeastern Fond Du Lac County to receive accurate information, ask questions, and better understand the process and considerations involved before any decisions are made.
Supervisors Dornbrook and Deppermann encourage residents to attend and participate in this listening session.
