Craig Sanborn Retires After Over a Decade of Dedicated Service to the Booster Club

Posted

After more than a decade of committed service, Craig Sanborn is retiring from the Kewaskum Booster Club, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, leadership, and community spirit.
Before the Booster Club, Sanborn’s involvement started with Holy Trinity Catholic School’s athletic programs starting in 2007 and going until 2012. That spring, he began volunteering with the Booster Club. One of the first projects he assisted with was helping to haul new shelters to the soccer fields near the intersection of Hwy 28 and Hwy 45.
In 2014, Sanborn had taken on key responsibilities, including machinery maintenance, outdoor stand product stocking, and LP tank refills. A year later, he stepped into leadership, first as Vice President in 2015, and then as President in 2016—a role he held through spring 2023 and again from spring 2024 to 2025.
During his presidency, Sanborn improved club operations by adjusting policies, simplifying the grilling area setup, and ensuring equipment remained functional. He served as the spokesperson for the Booster Club and proudly presented the Booster Club scholarship award each year.
One of his notable achievements was compiling a comprehensive record of all Booster Club donations dating back to the club’s founding in 1982. Since 1982, the Booster Club has provided over $420,000 in donations. These include yearly scholarships to graduating seniors, funding for all sports groups and extracurricular activities, and providing concessions for all sporting events.
The Booster Club elected Jeremy Geidel to serve as the club’s new president. The club is always looking for new members and volunteers to join. Those interested in becoming involved can attend a meeting, usually held on the third Monday of the month, or send them an email at kewaskumbooster@gmail.com.
