First United Methodist Church Hosting Speaker on May 23

Reverend Sarah Mae Gabuyo, serving in Rome, Italy, will share her mission story on May 23 at noon at the Campbellsport First United Methodist Church
Gabuyo is also a talented flutist and plans to incorporate a performance into her presentation.
Reverend Gabuyo shares:
When in Rome, I said ‘yes’ to God’s call to ministry, which led me to study at a Methodist seminary in the United States and dream of becoming a missionary pastor.

Little did I know that six years later, in 2023, I would return to Rome to serve as a missionary with the General Board of Global Ministries.
My journey, from being baptized UMC in the Philippines, migrating to Italy at age 10, growing up in the Italian Methodist Church, and training for ministry in the United States, has shaped my global identity as a bridge builder for the church.
It is an honor to share God’s love in the dynamic and multicultural city of Rome, creating connections across languages, cultures, and traditions.
The event begins with a light lunch at noon in the church fellowship hall on the lower level of the church. Her presentation in the church sanctuary will begin immediately following lunch. For more information, contact Minister Denise Retzleff at retzleffd@gmail.com or Linda Hodorff 920-979-2480.
