Habitat for Humanity of Washington and Dodge Counties is calling on community members, landowners, and local municipalities to help identify and obtain vacant buildable lots or land in Washington County.
“We are committed to increasing access affordable housing in our communities,” said Russ Wanta, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Washington and Dodge Counties. “The need is great, and one of the biggest barriers we face is access to affordable land.”
Habitat is looking for lots that are:
• Located within Washington and Dodge Counties
• Zoned for residential or multi use, open to irregular lots or re-zoning
• Suitable for single-family or duplex housing
• Affordable or available for donation
• Ideally improve (having sewer and water access) or priced accordingly

Habitat for Humanity homes are sold to partner families through an affordable mortgage, empowering them with strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership. In addition to building homes, Habitat also brings people together—volunteers, donors, and community leaders—to improve neighborhoods and strengthen communities.
