As a part of their S.T.E.M. curriculum, St. Matthew School Junior High students recently rolled up their sleeves and stepped into the role of real-life scientists as they dissected owl pellets in science class.
Through this fascinating, hands-on activity, students carefully examined the contents of the pellets to identify tiny bones and other remains. By reconstructing skeletons and analyzing their findings, they were able to determine what owls eat and gain a deeper understanding of food chains, ecosystems, and predator-prey relationships.
