Kewaskum Baseball Head Coach Mike Heisdorf Hits 100 Win Milestone

The Kewaskum Indians (16-4, 9-1) defeated the Cedarburg Bulldogs (7-11) by a score of 8-4 Saturday afternoon.
Kewaskum scored in the top of the first when Kingston Grisolono hit a triple to right center and Austin Reichel grounded out, each scoring one run. The Bulldogs tied it in the bottom half when Elliot Wells hit a sacrifice fly.
However, Everett Donath singled in one run in the next half inning to take the lead for good.
After a scoreless fourth inning, the Indians added three more runs in the top of the fifth on a two-run home run by Sam Ciriacks and an Andrew Reichert RBI single.
The final run of the game for Kewaskum came in the sixth inning on a Ciriacks RBI single.

Carter Unger got the win on the mound, going five innings, allowing two runs (one earned), while striking out five and walking one. Cole Loser finished out the final two innings, allowing a pair of runs and striking out one.
This week, the Indians have a loaded, five-game schedule. Monday was against Campbellsport and Tuesday was at Winneconne. Thursday is home against Winneconne at 4:45 p.m., Friday is at Kiel at 4:30 p.m., and Saturday is at West Bend West at 1 p.m.

At Berlin
Coach Mike Heisdorf got a surprise from his team (15-4, 9-1) following a 12-0 five-inning victory over Berlin (1-15, 0-12) on Friday night.
After going to talk to the team at first base, like they do every game, the team had a framed picture collage for his 100th victory at Kewaskum High School, followed by a bit of water getting dumped on his head.

“I had no idea. It was a great surprise and a great win, but we need to stay focused and take care of business next week,” said Heisdorf, whose Indians are two victories away from (at worst) sharing a conference title with Kettle Moraine Lutheran, whom they split the season series with in early April.
Just like Tuesday, Kewaskum scored early and often. In the first inning, a two-run moonshot over the right field fence by Kingston Grisolono and an RBI single by Levi Whitfield put Kewaskum up 3-0.
The Indians tacked on three more in the second inning on a two-RBI double by Grisolono and an RBI single by Austin Reichel.
After a 1-2-3 bottom half of the inning by Cooper Petermann (4IP, 2H, 2K, 0BB), Kewaskum got two more in the third inning on a Tyler Stray sacrifice fly.
The final runs came in the top of the fifth inning on a Sam Ciriacks sacrifice fly, Cole Loser RBI double, Stray RBI single, and a wild pitch.
Kyle Haim threw the final frame, striking out three.

Vs Berlin
In the battle of the Indians, Kewaskum (8-1, 14-4) came out victorious over Berlin (1-14, 0-11) by a score of 12-0 in five innings, while scoring in every inning Tuesday afternoon.
Kewaskum scored three runs in the first inning on a pair of RBI triples by Andrew Reichert and Kingston Grisolono, along with a Berlin error.
Kewaskum scored five more in the second inning thanks to a two-RBI single by Reichert and a three-RBI double by Everett Donath.

Kewaskum would score two in the third via a two-RBI triple by Grisolono, and then two more in the fourth on an error and an RBI single by Tyler Densow.
Grisolono got the win on the mound, going four innings, while allowing three hits and nine strikeouts, while Loser threw the scoreless fifth inning, allowing one hit and striking out two.
