The Library Director job description is going to be finalized by the Library Board at their next meeting on June 6. The village has been working closely with the Kewaskum Public Library to make sure that they are fully staffed while the director position remains open. The library is always looking for volunteers; those interested can fill out an application at kewaskum.lib.wi.us.
The Parks & Recreation Committee held a meeting on May 27 to hear from different organizations that utilize the parks. The Kewaskum Athletic Association, Kewaskum Tribe, Kewaskum Friends of Parks, Kewaskum Youth Soccer Organization, and Creekside Camp All-Abilities Playground were able to present their thoughts at the meeting. Village Trustee Justin Weninger said there was lots of discussion about what each group wants or needs for the parks. The groups have been asked to prepare a CIP along with a 3, 5, and 10-year plan to present at the next Parks and Recreation Committee meeting. They are looking at a July date for the next meeting.
The next meeting will be held June 16 at 7:00 p.m.
