Kewaskum Village Board Prepared for May 7 Open House

Posted

The Kewaskum Village Board held a regular meeting on Monday, May 5, at 7 p.m.
Village Administrator Adam Gitter took the board members through the new Village Hall. The board walked through the timeline for the ribbon cutting and open house. The event started at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, with a ribbon cutting followed by remarks from village officials and ended at 7 p.m.
Gitter then walked the group through the ground floor and basement where the Kewaskum Police Department will be located. The first floor and basement features office space, training facilities for officers, and increased evidence and weapons storage. There is also a community room on the first floor that can be used by village residents and for voting. The second floor of the building contains the Village Administrators office, Village Clerk’s office, Village Treasurer’s office, the Village Board Room, and additional meeting space.
There were guided tours of the new building offered throughout the duration of the event.
