Krueger is the Wisconsin FFA State Champion

Campbellsport FFA is proud to announce that McKinley Krueger has been named the Wisconsin FFA State Champion in the Beef ProducKrueger is the Wisconsin FFA State Championtion - Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award and will advance to compete at the National FFA Convention this fall.

The FFA Proficiency Awards recognize members who have developed outstanding Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) programs.
Applying for a proficiency award is a rigorous process that requires students to maintain years of detailed financial records, document the growth of their enterprise, demonstrate technical skills and industry knowledge, highlight leadership and career development and explain how their project has evolved.
Applicants are also required to demonstrate how they use record-keeping and data to inform management decisions, while connecting their experiences to future career goals.

McKinley’s application highlighted her SAE, MBJ Cattle Company, which she began in 2018 with the purchase of her first Simmental heifer, following her success in raising and showing a steer.
Since then, she has steadily expanded her operation by carefully selecting genetics, raising breeding stock and show cattle, marketing animals and managing the financial and production aspects of the business.
Over the course of her SAE, McKinley has developed advanced skills in herd health, nutritional management, breeding selection, vaccination programs and record keeping.
Her experience includes making breeding decisions, working with nutritionists to improve feed efficiency, implementing herd health protocols and mentoring younger exhibitors interested in the beef industry.
The judges recognized not only the growth and profitability of her enterprise, but also her technical knowledge, management abilities, and commitment to the beef industry.
Through her dedication and hard work, McKinley earned the honor of representing Wisconsin in the Beef Production - Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award at the national level.
The Campbellsport FFA Chapter congratulates McKinley on this outstanding achievement and wishes her the best of luck as she competes on the national stage.
