Peace United Church Makes Donation to Kewaskum Friends of Parks

Peace United Church of Christ presents Kewaskum Friends of the Park with a $2,500 check. Peace UCC holds an annual picnic at Riverhill Park on the first Sunday of August. The day starts off with Sunday service in the park. After service, a picnic culminates with music and other festivities. The goal of the event is to promote social fellowship with one another, so many activities are free and the picnic lunch is very affordable. There are numerous raffle prizes available, which helps them donate money back into the community. Proceeds this past year were split between the Peace Pantry and Kewaskum Friends of the Park.
The Peace Pantry provides food and other goods to those in need. People needing assistance can visit the pantry 24/7 as the structure is outside Peace Church and is open to anyone in need. Anyone can open up the structure and grab what they can use. Peace UCC fills the pantry and are appreciative to community members who have reached out and supported this wonderful ministry.
Kewaskum Friends of the Park is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote and assist the development of the Village of Kewaskum parks system. One of their recent projects includes a newly installed ADA-compliant kayak launch at RiverHill Park.
