Peyton Schnorenberg placed third in Speech Contest

The Voice of Democracy is the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ premier scholarship program. Each year, nearly 27,000 high school students compete for over 2 million dollars. This year, they were required to give a speech on how they show patriotism and support for our Country. The top ones from each State are awarded a trip to Washington, D.C District Six of the Wisconsin VFW is comprised of 17 Posts in five counties. Thirty-Seven students competed this year, and over $3,000 was awarded. Nine of the speeches made it to the District Level! Peyton Schnorenberg placed third in the district competition. The presentation with a framed Certificate and check was made at the Hartford VFW Post 8834 monthly Meeting. Peyton is the Son of Juston and Kelly Schnorenberg of Kewaskum. Richard and Cindy Knoebel are the proud grandparents. The VFW of Hartford would like to thank all the schools that participated and praise the many teachers for their patriotic support throughout the year.
