St. Matt’s Takes Field Trip to 9/11 Memorial

St. Matt’s Middle School students visited the 9/11 Memorial in Kewaskum on Sept. 11, 2026 to honor and remember those affected by the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001.

Students took time to reflect on the lives lost and the courage and sacrifice of first responders, military personnel, volunteers and families. The visit offered a meaningful opportunity for students to learn about 9/11 while reflecting on the importance of faith, service, compassion and community.

The students also spent time learning about the memorials design and the importance of all items included in the memorial thanks to the online resources that were available for educators on the website.
