Tunnel to Towers Foundation 9/11 Mobile Exhibit on Display at Moraine Park Campus

Posted

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit visited Moraine Park’s West Bend Campus from Wednesday, October 15 to Friday, October 17. The Tunnel to Towers 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit was proudly supported by Kewaskum 9/11 Remembers Memorial and Moraine Park Technical College. They held a special night to recognize first responders on the evening of October 16.
The 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit is an 83-foot tractor trailer that allows visitors to immerse themselves in the 1,100-square-foot exhibit space. The mobile exhibit serves as a tribute to the individuals who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 attacks, with a special tribute to the 343 members of the New York City Fire Department who lost their lives responding to the attack. Visitors were given tours carried out by New York City Fire Department firefighters who responded to the scene on 9/11 and in the recovery efforts afterwards.
Fuzz Martin, President of the Board of Directors for Kewaskum Remembers 9/11 Inc. said, “It was inspiring to see so many educators and community members engage with this powerful experience. It sparked meaningful conversations about September 11th remembrance and education, both of which are core to our mission at the Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial & Education Center.”
This exhibit was made possible through contributions from supporters of the annual Rettler’s Run event, including Alpha Custom Apparel, American Companies, Baird, Candyman on Main, Christopher D. Bossert, Cousins Subs, Delta Defense, LLC., Doug & Jenny Braun, Dunn Brothers Coffee, Duqaine Concrete, Enchantment in the Park, Epic Creative, Hon-E-Kor, Moraine Park Technical College, Produce Processors, LLC., Regal Place, LLC., Schloemer Law Firm, Stadler Sacks LLC., Tennies Ace Hardware, The Rettler Family, West Bend Friends of Parks and Recreation, and Westbury Bank.
Board President Martin said, “We’re incredibly grateful to Pete Rettler and Moraine Park Technical College for bringing the Tunnel to Towers 9/11 Mobile Exhibit to our community through Pete’s Rettler Run fundraiser. Thank you as well to American Construction Services for providing lodging for the veteran firefighters on the exhibit team.”
