Arthur J. Weiglein, Jr.
Arthur J. Weiglein, Jr. ‘Sonny’, age 81, of Brownsville passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Arthur was born on March 8, 1941, to Arthur, Sr. and Lucy (Feucht) Weiglein. Arthur was a lifelong dairy farmer on Zangl Road in Brownsville. He was united in marriage to Zandra Kahlhamer on August 19, 1961. In his spare time, Arthur enjoyed taking care of his rabbits and cats. He loved to spend time in his garden and liked to watch Wisconsin sports teams. Arthur was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy.
Arthur was survived by his wife of 60 years, Zandra of Brownsville; his children, Jeff (special friend, Jackie) Weiglein of Campbellsport, Bernice (Brian) Smits of Waupun, John (Bonnie) Weiglein of Brownsville, and Mary (Gregg) Nitschke of Mayville; his sisters, Alice Krutke of Mayville, Joyce Stommel of Mayville, Rita Schmidt of Beaver Dam, and Lucille (Gordon) Becker of West Bend; his grandchildren, Holly (Joshua) Pautz, Cody Smits, Amberly (Jeff) Meyer, Aaron (Lizzy) Weiglein, Amy (fiancé, Elisha) Weiglein, Aleah Weiglein, Daniel (fiancé, Emily) Quinn, and Kristen (fiancé, Mark) Quinn; his great-grandchildren, Owen, A.J., Raelynn, Jeffery, Dylan, and twins on the way. Further survived by other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Becky; and brother, Richard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at 12 noon at St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy with the Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding.
Visitation will take place on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service time at 12 noon at the church. Entombment will take place at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Fond du Lac.
