Roger Rufus Kahlhammer
Roger Rufus Kahlhammer, 81, of Neshkoro, passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, May 10, 2020.
He was born on August 15, 1938, in Kekoskee, a son of Rufus and Ruby Anna (Meyer) Kahlhamer.
Roger proudly served his country in the United States Airforce.
On March 11, 1967, he married Sandra Kay Asmus in Kekoskee.
For 30 years, he worked for John Deere in Horicon as an assembler.
Roger was also a bartender at various establishments throughout the years and always loved meeting new people. He was the Cow Catcher of Germania.
Roger enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping with his family and going fishing. Spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him great joy.
Roger is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra Kahlhammer of Neshkoro; four children, Laura (Larry) Ankerson of Gillett, Jolene (Jayson) Lentz of Mayville, Heidi Pressler of Neshkoro, Kevin Kahlhammer of Madison; six grandchildren, Kayla, Jeremy, Amber, Kyle, Aaron and Kayden; three great-grandchildren, Raina, Jackson; one great-grandson due in August; sister, Lavonne (Alex) Kummerow of Mayville; other relatives and friends near and far.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Ruby Kahlhamer; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roland and Helen Asmus; grandson, Samuel Rohde.
A Celebration of Life for Roger Kahlhammer will be held at a later date.
