Posted

The Boltonville Fire Department held its annual banquet on Saturday, December 6. They recognized department members for a variety of achievements and accomplishments, announcing their 25 Years of Service Awards, 60 Years of Service Award, and Fire Fighter of the Year Award.
The Boltonville Fire Department was able to recognize five members who have completed 25 years of service: Tim Peterson, Norman Bandler, Tom Ramthum, Darryl Pree, and Kyle Kedroske.
Joe Enright, known to most as Chief Joe, was recognized for 60 years of service. Chief of the Boltonville Fire Department Dan Mueller commended Joe’s dedication to the department. He recognized how he shows up to every practice and every event. Chief Joe served as Boltonville Fire Chief for 42 years. Enright continues to create a legacy at the department with his dedication and commitment.
Reggie Rochwhite was awarded the Boltonville Fire Department’s Fire Fighter of the Year Award. When speaking with Chief Mueller about an exemplary moment that stood out in Rochwhite’s service this year, he recounted the accident that Rochwhite witnessed while at work. Rochwhite witnessed a car accident due to the driver having a medical emergency. Rochwhite acted quickly, removing the driver from the vehicle and administering CPR. When police arrived, they were able to start treating the individual with an AED. By the time the ambulance arrived, the victim was awake and talking, all thanks to Rochwhite’s quick response. Rochwhite has been dedicated to the department, serving on it for 28 years.
Rochwhite’s dedication to safety goes beyond the fire department as well. He was able to get an AED for the local Cub Scout troop. The AED was funded through a grant and various local businesses’ support, including Werbelow Construction, Preferred Electric, Great Outdoors Supper Club, New Fane Kettle Riders, and Property Loss Management.
Fire Chief Dan Mueller expressed gratitude for all individuals who were recognized for awards, as well as all the individuals who serve on the Boltonville Fire Department.
