Campbellsport Boys Basketball Plays Two Rivals on the Court

On December 20, Campbellsport boys basketball lost 67-52 to Kewaskum in the rescheduled non-conference matchup between the two rivals.
Kewaskum (2-5) got out to an 11-3 lead over Campbellsport (0-6) thanks to back-to-back three-pointers from Chase Cook.
Carter Gellings scored five consecutive points for the Cougars before the Indians got three-pointers from Cook and Charlie Gambino to push the lead back to 19-8 for Kewaskum.
The Cougars continue to fight back with baskets from Trevin Shea and Gellings to close the gap to 25-18 in the first half when Kewaskum scored the last four points of the half to take a 29-18 lead into the halftime break.
Shea knocked down a three-point shot from the corner before Cook knocked down two more threes for the Indians to increase the Kewaskum lead to 39-22 over the Cougars.

Noah Bobb scored nine points, and Shea drained two more from the three-point range with assists from Gellings to bring the Cougars within 46-37 with less than ten minutes left in the game.
Kewaskum got seven points from Jackson Corbin in the next stretch of the game to expand their lead to 55-39 over the Cougars.
The two teams traded points for the rest of the game, with Kewaskum getting the 67-52 non-conference road win.
Kewaskum was led by Chase Cook’s 18 points and Jackson Corbin’s 15 points in the contest.
Campbellsport was led by Carter Gellings, Noah Bobb, and Trevin Shea, each scoring 11 points.
At Mayville
On December 16, Campbellsport boys basketball lost 67-45 to Mayville on the road in their Flyway conference matchup.
Noah Bobb had a strong drive to the hoop for two points for Campbellsport (0-6, 0-4), which put the score 13-4 in favor of Mayville (4-1, 4-0).
The Cardinals continued their strong play in the first half, which built a 33-13 halftime lead over the Cougars.
Campbellsport got a steal for a fastbreak layup from Cullen Reis to start the second half, putting the score at 33-15, and Reis knocked a corner three later in the half for the Cougars to make the score 44-26 with Mayville in the lead.
Trevin Shea and Bobb made back-to-back threes for Campbellsport to try to close the gap on the scoreboard at 56-37, but the Cougars weren’t able to get any closer against their Flyway rival, with Mayville leading the matchup by the score of 67-45.
Campbellsport was led by Noah Bobb, scoring 19 points in the contest.
Campbellsport boys basketball will travel to Kohler to play on December 29 and 30.
