On September 12, the Campbellsport boys’ cross country team finished in second place with 77 points, and the girls’ team finished in 14th place with 350 points at the Nightfall Classic in Neenah in the Division 2 meet.
“The meet was held at Winagamie Golf Course after the sun went down, with large portable tower lights set up throughout the course, and Christmas lights strung on posts along the course helped guide the runners,” said Head Coach Mike Kulibert.
“Our boys’ team, led by Garrett Pickering’s third-place finish, Caleb Siebauer (8th), and Mason Dirmeier (10th), had career-best times for us,” said Kulibert.
On September 9, the Campbellsport boys’ cross country team finished in first place with 26 points, and the girls’ team finished in fourth place with 97 points at the WLA Viking Invite.
“The Campbellsport boys’ cross country team conquered a very hilly Kiekhaefer Park course to win the Winnebago Lutheran Viking Invit. The Cougars took the first four individual places: Caleb Siebauer (1st), Garrett Pickering (2nd), Mason Dirmeier (3rd), and Gavin Pickering (4th),” said Head Coach Mike Kulibert.
“The Campbellsport girls continue to make strides over last year’s team, finishing two places higher than a year ago, with the fourth place Cougars being led by Haylie Glamman’s 12th place finish,” said Kulibert.
Campbellsport cross country travels to Sheboygan Lutheran on September 18 at 4:30 p.m. and to Ripon on September 20 at 9:30 a.m.
