Campbellsport Football Season Preview
Head Coach: Todd Wondra
2025 season: 4-5 (3-4 in Flyway Conference)
“We go into this season hoping our senior class will be both the vocal and lead-by-example leaders we expect,” said Head Coach Todd Wondra. “This class is a good size and all have a good amount of varsity experience, so hopefully that translates back onto the field this season.”
“Our goals leading into every season are to be in competition for the conference and end the season qualifying for the playoffs,” said Wondra. “Unfortunately, we fell short last year, so we want to right the ship this season and be playing in the postseason again.”

“Our offense isn’t changing from what we’ve been doing for the past nine seasons,” said Wondra. “We are always looking to better execute on every play and add a tweak here or there, but our foundation is what we want it to be.”
“Looking back on film from last season, we were our own enemy most of the time and that’s something we can work on and correct and we’re working on that as we start this season,” said Wondra.
“Defensively, we need to replace some key pieces from last season, but we have some good kids that we can put out there that I believe are ready to step up and fill those roles,” said Wondra. “As a staff, we are challenging them every day to execute the fundamentals and be great.”
“The Flyway conference is always going to be tough and I believe it’s one of the best small school conferences in the state,” said Wondra. There’s never an easy game in this conference, so we’ll prepare the same every week knowing Friday night will be a battle.”
“Our non-conference schedule is a challenge again, starting with KML at home,” said Wondra. “They lost a good group of seniors, but they have a good coaching staff and will have the next group ready to go.”
“Kewaskum was young last season, so we’re expecting their experience to show this year and it’s going to be a great challenge as we travel there in week two,” said Wondra.
“We are excited to get going and see how this senior class leads us on and off the field, as now is their time,” said Wondra. “Every year is a different challenge because in high school sports you get a new group for every season and that’s one of the fun things about coaching at this level.”
Campbellsport will open the 2026 season Friday, Aug. 14 at 4 p.m., with a scrimmage on the road at Randolph. The Cougars will then begin the regular season at home Friday, Aug. 21, against Kettle Moraine Lutheran, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
