On May 16, the soccer match featuring the Cougars and Lions was delayed by 45 minutes due to a severe thunderstorm warning.
Campbellsport got goals from Olyvia Haynes, Addie Kohlman, and Ireland Stahmann in the span of 13 minutes to take a 3-0 halftime lead over Lomira.
The Cougars secured the 3-0 conference victory after the game was called shortly in the second half due to lightning and storms in the area.
“The team showed their resilience after the weather delay by coming out and playing some of their best soccer all year,” said Head Coach Kalista Hodorff. “We are looking to carry this momentum through our next few games of the season.”

“We played a competitive game against Mayville with back-and-forth play and both teams getting shots on goal,” said Head Coach Kalista Hodorff. “Mayville scored a goal, but it didn’t throw the team as they continued to play strong and had some great chances, but unfortunately couldn’t find the back of the net.”
Campbellsport girls soccer traveled to Wayland on May 20 and travels to NFDL on May 22 at 7 p.m.
