Last week, the Lady Cougar bowlers traveled to Richfield for their ninth match of the 2024-2025 season.
The Cougars faced a young West Bend West Spartan team and were very stingy giving up zero games to their opponent. The Cougars had high games of 222, 183, 167, and 166 to take all nine from the Spartans.
Seniors Olivia Boegel, Capri Constantineau, and Taylor Muraski led the assault on the pins, filling 16, 13, and 13 of 18, respectively. Lilli Thorn filled 12/15, and Abby Jarmuz filled 8 of 13.
The Cougars as a team averaged 164 on the night, probably their best scoring on the Broadway pattern of the season.
“The whole league seems to be struggling on this pattern,” said Coach Serwe.
Cougars 6, Target Score 3
In the final match of the season, the Cougars traveled to King Pin Bowl, West Bend to bowl against their target score. With the uneven number of teams in the conference, twice throughout the season each team must bowl against their own target score.
The Cougars target score is 144. To win a match against a target score a team must bowl higher than the target score in five of the nine games in the match. The Cougars beat their target score six of the nine times to take the match point.
