Campbellsport Track has Impressive Day in Waupun

On May 10, the Campbellsport boys and girls track teams traveled to Waupun to compete in the Warrior Invitational.
The Cougars girls’ team finished in second place with 152 points, and the boys’ team finished in first place with an impressive total of 211 points.
Second-place finishes by Lydia Toshner in the 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, and triple jump; Brooke Flegner in the 200m and long jump; Lexi Diels in the discus; Eva Pendowski in the 1600m; Ireland O’Laughin-Posey in the 100m; and Capri Constantineau in the 400m paved the way for the Campbellsport girls’ team at the meet.
Campbellsport’s boys’ team’s strong showing was led by first-place finishes by Aydryan Meilahn in the 100m, 200m, and 400m; Garrett Pickering in the 1600m and 3200m; Logan Nolan in the 800m; Seamus Toshner in the 300m hurdles; and Emmett Gonnering in the discus.

At NFDL Flyway Quad
On May 6, the Campbellsport boys and girls track teams competed in the NFDL Flyway Quad with Lomira, Omro, and NFDL.
The girls’ team finished in second place with 81 points, and the boys’ team also finished in second place with 65 points.
Lydia Toshner broke the school record of Kitty Serwe in the 100m hurdles (16.2), which was set in 1979, with a time of 15.96 for a first-place finish for the Cougars.
Campbellsport’s girls’ team was led by first-place finishes from Lydia Toshner in the triple jump, Lexi Diels in the discus, Saddie Homuth in the high jump, Sienna Hewitt in the pole vault, and Brooke Flegner in the long jump.
The Cougars’ boys’ team was paced by first-place finishes from Emmett Gonnering in the discus, Garrett Pickering in the 1600m, and Anthony Hughley in the 3200m.
Campbellsport track hosted their Invitational on May 13 and will compete in the Flyway Conference Meet at Lomira on May 16 at 3 p.m.
