Campbellsport Volleyball Finishes the Season with a Winning Record

On October 23, the sixth-seeded Campbellsport volleyball team lost to the third-seeded Howards Grove 3-0 to end their season in the second round of the WIAA Volleyball Tournament in Division 2.
Campbellsport (18-17) lost the first two sets of the match by the score of 25-13 and 25-18 to Howards Grove (22-12) on the road in their playoff matchup.
The Cougars played a competitive third set in an attempt to keep their season alive in the playoffs, but they fell by the score of 26-24 to finish their season with 18 wins, which was the most wins in a season for the program since 2013, when Campbellsport won 20 games.
Campbellsport also finished back-to-back winning seasons in the program with their 18-17 record on the season.

“I’m really proud of how our team competed in this final match,” said Head Coach Alexander Brenner.” We fought hard until the very end and showed the same determination that’s defined us all season.”
“This group proved their talent and competitiveness time and again, and I couldn’t be happier with the growth and heart they showed throughout the year,” said Brenner.
Vs Sheboygan Falls
On October 21, sixth-seeded Campbellsport volleyball defeated eleventh-seeded Sheboygan South in three sets to advance to the second round of the Division 2 WIAA Tournament.
Campbellsport (18-17) was dominant early against visiting Sheboygan South (7-19) by winning the first set by the score of 25-10.
The Cougars continued their impressive team play in their first-round matchup by winning the second set 25-9 and finished off the Red Wings in the third set with a score of 25-22 to set up a match at Howards Grove in the second round of the WIAA Volleyball Tournament.
“I’m proud of my girls for coming strong in the first round of regionals,” said Head Coach Alexander Brenner. “They came to win and proved why we deserve a place in the regional!”
