On April 20, Campbellsport baseball beat Chilton 12-1 in five innings on the road in the non-conference matchup.
Campbellsport (4-3) took a 1-0 lead in the first inning over Chilton (1-3-1) thanks to a Carter Gellings RBI single to right field before the Tigers tied the game at one in the top of the third inning.
The Cougars loaded the bases in the fourth inning with two outs when Campbellsport scored four runs, highlighted by a base-clearing three-run RBI double to right field, giving the Cougars a 5-1 lead.
Campbellsport’s offensive bats got going again in the fifth inning by loading the bases with one out before exploding for seven runs, featuring Cullen Reis hitting a two-run RBI single, Trenton Schladweiler posting a RBI single, Gellings getting a two-run RBI double, and Gage Kohlmann finishing off the scoring with a RBI double for a 12-1 win after five innings against Chilton.

Vs Mayville
On April 16, Campbellsport baseball lost 7-6 to Mayville at home in the first game of the two-game series between the Flyway Conference rivals.
Mayville (3-3, 1-2) scored a run after getting bases loaded in the first inning, but Campbellsport (4-3, 0-3) got a leadoff single from Wyatt Loehr, with Jace Goebel driving in the Cougars’ run in a sacrifice fly to tie the game at one after the first inning.
The Cardinals scored two runs in the third inning with two outs to take a 3-1 lead over the Cougars.
Carter Gellings hit a leadoff single to start the bottom of the third inning, which was followed by a Cullen Reis single and a Trent Schaldweiler RBI single to right field to tighten up the game at 3-2 after three innings.
Mayville got the bases loaded again in the fifth inning, resulting in a run for the Cardinals, then the Cougars got a double from Reis and an RBI single from Goebel to make the score 4-3 after five innings.
The Cardinals loaded bases in the sixth inning, which produced three runs and a 7-3 lead for Mayville.
The Cougars got an RBI single from Loehr with two outs in the sixth inning, and Campbellsport had a final opportunity in the seventh inning with the bases loaded with one out to win the game.
Campbellsport scored two runs with the bases loaded opportunity, but the Cardinals got the final out with the winning run at the plate to secure the 7-6 win for Mayville.
“Levi pitched four strong innings, but the six errors plus five walks proved too much for us to overcome,” said Head Coach Jim Krug.
Cullen Reis and Wyatt Loehr combined for four hits in the conference matchup for the Cougars.
Campbellsport baseball hosted Laconia on April 21 after print time. The Cougars will travel to Laconia on April 23 and host Green Lake/Princeton on April 24, with first pitch at 4:30 p.m. for both games.
