Cougars Busy Basketball Schedule Continues

On Feb 13, Campbellsport girls' basketball lost 84-24 to Laconia on the road, ending a busy week of basketball with three games in five days.
Campbellsport (2-19, 0-13) trailed 8-5 to Laconia (16-6, 13-0) after Brittany Reilly knocked down a three-pointer for the Cougars.
Brianna Bobb scored four points in the first half for Campbellsport before the Spartans took a 45-15 lead into the halftime break.
Kiera Laverenz hit a three-pointer to start the second half for the Cougars, and McKenna Loehr was able to score six points in the second half, but Laconia was able to secure the 84-24 conference victory over Campbellsport.

Mckenna Loehr paced the Cougars with six points, and Finley Morgan was the leading scorer in the game with 27 points for the Spartans in the conference matchup.

On Feb 10, Campbellsport girls’ basketball lost 68-45 to Omro at home in their Flyway conference matchup.
Campbellsport (2-19, 0-13) and Omro (15-7, 8-5) were tied at four early in the first half when Kiera Laverenz made a basket for the Cougars.
Sydney Brandt hit a deep three-pointer for her second made three of the first half to put the score at 20-16 with less than eight minutes left in the half in favor of the Foxes.
The Cougars got back-to-back baskets from Brittany Reilly to make the score 26-20 with four minutes on the first clock before Omro finished the half on a 9-1 run to take a 35-21 halftime lead.
Taylor Schaldweier and Laverenz combined to score 18 points in the second half, but the Foxes held the Cougars at bay in the second half to get the 68-45 conference victory.
Ava Koch led the Foxes with 28 points in the victory, and Kiera Laverenz paced the Cougars with 14 points and 12 rebounds in the contest.
Campbellsport girls’ basketball traveled to Kewaskum on Feb. 17 after print time. The Cougars will host Mayville on Feb. 19 and will travel to Cedar Grove-Belguim will both games scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
The Cougars received a 12-seed in the WIAA Girls Basketball Tournament in Division and will travel to the Fifth-seed Sheboygan Falls on Feb. 24.
