On Feb 24, Campbellsport girls basketball lost 78-43 to five-seed Sheboygan Falls on the road in the first round of the WIAA Girls Division Three Tournament.
Campbellsport (2-23) Brittany Reilly’s offensive rebound putback and a Sydney Brandt basket made the score 13-6 in favor of Sheboygan Falls (16-9).
Chloey Berres and Brianna Bobb combined for nine points late in the second half to put the score at 36-16 with the Falcons in the lead at halftime.
Reilly scored in the post, and Taylor Schladweiler scored on a fast break, which was fueled by the Cougars’ defense early in the second half, to put the score at 36-20.
The Cougars’ front line of Kiera Laverenz, Bobb, and Reilly combined for 17 points in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Campbellsport’s season ending with a 78-43 loss to Sheboygan Falls.
Senior Brittany Reilly led the Cougars with 12 points and finished her season with 329 rebounds, a single-season school record, as well as 575 career rebounds, which ranks second all-time in school history.
Reilly will continue her basketball career at Edgewood University in Madison
