Cougars Sent Three Athletes to Indoor State Track Championships

On April 4, Campbellsport sent Seamus Tosher, Garrett Pickering, and Caleb Siebauer to the Indoor State Track Championships at UW-Whitewater.
Toshner finished in seventh place in the 400m to score two points for the Cougars at the State meet.
“Seamus is only 16, but he is closer to the 400m school record set by Barry Wenzlaff in 1985 and to my 300m hurdles school records,” said Head Coach Derek Toshner.
Pickering placed in tenth place in the 1600m with a time of 4:27.95 to break the school record of Dan Seibel set in 1973 with a time of 4:29.1

Siebauer finished in 28th place with a time of 4:36 after not feeling a 100% at state.
“I believe Caleb and Garrett will be tossing back and forth with the 1600m school record, all season,” said Toshner.
At UW-Oshkosh
On April 1, the Campbellsport boys’ track team competed at the UW-Oshkosh small-school invitational for Division 2 and 3 schools, scoring 34 points.
The Cougars were led by first-place finishes from Seamus Toshner in the 200m, Garrett Pickering in the 800m, and Caleb Siebauer in the 1600m during the Division Three Competition.
Siebuaer just missed breaking the school record by .2 seconds in the 1600m with his time of 4:29.3.
On March 31, the Campbellsport girls’ track team competed at the UW-Oshkosh small-school invitational for Division 2 and 3 schools.
Campbellsport track teams will next compete at Mayville on April 9 at 4 p.m.
