Cougars Star Carson Schrauth Commits to Marian University

Posted

Carson Schrauth officially signed his letter of intent on April 22 at King Pin Lanes, to continue his athletic career at Marian University. The senior anchor leaves behind a résumé that stands among the best the program has ever produced.
Schrauth was the driving force behind the Cougars’ postseason success, leading the team to the Wisconsin High School State Tournament in both his junior and senior seasons, where they finished 5th and 4th, respectively. His leadership in the anchor position and his ability to deliver in high-pressure frames became defining traits of the Cougars’ identity.
Individually, Schrauth dominated the conference throughout his career, finishing first in conference as both a junior and a senior, a rare back-to-back achievement that solidified his status as one of Wisconsin’s elite high school bowlers. He captured the 2025 State Singles Championship and returned in 2026 to finish third in the state, proving his consistency against the toughest competition in Wisconsin.
Last summer, Schrauth also made his mark on the national stage, finishing inside the top 100 bowlers in the country at the prestigious Junior Gold U18 Division tournament held in Wisconsin. He was one of only two bowlers from Wisconsin to place in the top 100, further cementing his reputation as one of the state’s premier young talents.
Schrauth now joins a Marian University men’s bowling program that is rapidly ascending on the national stage. The Sabres made their first-ever appearance at the Intercollegiate Team Championships this season, finishing an impressive third in the nation — a breakthrough performance that signals a program on the rise. It’s an environment where Schrauth’s championship experience and competitive fire should translate immediately.

Surrounded by teammates, coaches, family, and supporters, Schrauth signed with the same calm confidence he shows on the lanes. Along with competing for the Sabres, he plans to study Cyber Security, a field that matches his interest in problem-solving, technology, and staying one step ahead — traits that mirror his approach to competition.
Cougars coaches praised Schrauth not only for his scoring power, but for the leadership and maturity he brought to the program. Younger bowlers looked to him for guidance, and his work ethic set the standard for the team’s culture.
As Schrauth prepares to join Marian next fall, he carries with him a legacy of excellence — and a program proud to see one of its own take the next step.
