Darrell F. Batterman, 71, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025.
He was born on August 23, 1953, in Fond du Lac, the son of Dale and Carol (Rose) Batterman.
In December 2004, he married Barb (Kreif) O’Brien.
He was a loyal and hard worker at Buechel Stone and Eden Stone.
He loved deer hunting, trap shooting, selling his produce at Fond du Lac and Dundee farmers' market, and loved working for O’Brien Auctions.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Barb; mother, Carol; brother, Gary (Jane) Batterman; sister, Judy (Gene) Zwicky; daughter, Amy (Rob) Burkholder; son, David; stepson, John O’Brien (Tess); stepdaughter, Brenda (Dan) Flynn; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and special and longtime friend, Richard (Dick) Harmer. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; and father-in-law, Harold, and mother-in-law, Rose Kreif.
A special thank you to the nurses, doctors, and staff at St. Agnes Hospital and Hospice for their love, help, and care.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
