Darwin Francis Flitter, 88, formerly of Campbellsport, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh.
He was born on January 25, 1938, in Campbellsport, the son of Math and Irma (nee Wagner) Flitter. Darwin served the Army National Guard and on active duty from 1961 to 1962.
He retired from the West Bend Company and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Campbellsport.
Darwin enjoyed fishing, motorcycling, bird watching, snowmobiling, and just being out in nature. He especially enjoyed touring the Kettle Moraine in his beloved red roadster. Darwin loved his family and he will be missed
Survivors include his daughter, Deb (Ed) Leonard; grandson, Ed (Laura) Leonard; sister-in-law, Ginny Flitter; nephews, Mark (Jodi) Flitter and Tom (Jill) Flitter; great-nieces and nephew, Hope, Serena, and Zach; other relatives and friends,
Darwin was preceded in death by his parents, Math and Irma; brother, Roger; other relatives and friends
Visitation was held Wednesday, July 22, from 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum Chapel in Ledgeview Memorial Park (N 6250 Co Rd K, Fond du Lac, WI 54937). Rev. Paul Cerny officiated, followed by military rites and entombment in the mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, a future donation will be made to an organization meaningful to the Darwin Flitter family.
